I am pretty sure that this topic was already brought up somewhere else and some time ago, but I couldn't find it anymore.

Anyway, these HH forum members I have met in person. Here we go ...:

PeterS:

Last year december I met Peter in a pub close to Munich. It was pretty icy on the streets and we both definitely had too much to drink to drive home. But well ........ :drink:

RichieZ:

I met Rich this afternoon in San Francisco. He picked me up from the hotel and together we went on a CD hunt at a well know used CD shop (Amoeba) and had lunch and a beer together. We talked a lot about "our" music, of course, and had a great afternoon. Thanks, mate ! :drink:

Anyone else met someone ??

Just Blue Tequila.

Damn, it was a cold day of golfing but how many times do you hit the course and talk about Warrant, Reckless, Dirty Looks and Icon. All the while listening to the bands cranking from my mp3 player on the cart? Good times. We must do it again Rick.

Ive met 3 members who frequent the HH pages. Two I met a couple years before I joined the forum here. The members I've met are:

1.) Recordjnky (Aaron) - Won one of his ebay auctions years ago. I was living in Vegas at the time so we decided to met up and make the ebay transaction. I think the first time I won an auction I actually met him at his house.

2.) Retrospect Records (Sam) - After winning another one of Recordjnky's auctions, we arranged for me to pick up my CDs at one of his gigs. At the time Aaron and Sam were playing in a band together in one of the Vegas casinos. At that time Aaron introduced me to his brother, Sam.

3.) Lizzy - Where else would I have met him but at a Lizzy Borden show? He and I ran into each other at the Lizzy Borden show at Jaxx in Springfield, VA. on Halloween night last year. Really cool guy.

Can't say I really have. I met Way Cool Jr. at Rocklahoma, but she's more of a Sleaze Roxx person. I'm more than likely going to this years fest so if anyone else decides to go please let me know. I'm sure we can meet up there. Some of you went and didn't let me know or else we could have met up last year. If not for Rocklahoma I probably wouldn't have a chance to meet any of ya.

I still find it strange that Tim lives in T-town and I've yet to meet him. Ah well, that's just the way it goes.

I have NOT met Keef yet, even though he only lives an hour+ away. :( Would have met last year if he came to our party, but he pulled the old "my wife might have a baby at any moment" excuse... ;)

I HAVE met Wotty, Nick C & Jez when I was over in the UK about a year and a half ago. Spent a really nice afternoon downing a variety of ales at a variety of pubs in Windsor. Thanks for coming out to hang guys, I had a GREAT time, and I look forward to hopefully seeing all of you again on this side of the pond in 2009 perhaps? :drink:

Cold cold cold that day but still a great time nonetheless. Golf, beer and great tunes!

I'm thinking that Dakota Rock Fest sounds like a good time if you could make it down this summer.

I actually live pretty close to Rob62972, eaglesfan3000, and apparently Desslar. Maybe someday we'll run into each other.

I'm maybe an hour from eaglesfan, about 2 hours from Rob, and not sure how close to Desslar.

Anyone else live close to other members?

Not me I think out here in the pacific NW I am farthest from everyone. Even though I herd a rumor that Dark Star lives down Oregon way, but to Portland from me would be a 3 hour drive...

I think I am the lone board member who actually lives on the moon. I will say that if any of you are in the neighborhood, I would love for you to buy me a beer. Seriously, there are a couple of us in Oklahoma, but I never do nothing, so we have yet to meet. Also, if I remember correctly, JLP lives in Houston which ain't all that far.

I do imagine alot of you have seen me in your dreams though.

This is true... and damn romantic, I must say. The 'mustard scene' last night was just plain erotica.

I have met:

Glam Junkie (Lindsay) at a Deadthings/Tuff gig. He said I was the coolest person he'd met.

I also (unfortunately) met phaffas (Matt) at a Tesla gig. He said I was the coolest person he'd ever met, then he hugged me. When he went in for the kiss I had to cool things down a bit.

In seriousness, both very cool guys and I'd be happy to meet up again in the future beer and rock n'roll.

Unfortunately I have met Nick on a few occassions who is a really bad influence and keeps taking me to pubs and forcing me to drink something called 'Beer'. Wotty of course on a number of occassions, another visit is planned very soon, Pete the guitar god, as he mentioned above, a good afternoon and evenings drinking (once again influenced by Nick). For an American, I was very impressed with him and his drinking capacity of proper ale, and look forward to next year when the Brits invade the US for a re-match!!. TIM (2) Who I met at Firefest in 2006 and had a few beers with is also a top bloke and more beers are being arranged this week.

Hopefully the trip to the US will happen next summer, so I can meet a whole load more of the good people here on HH.

As Jez points out...I have met him a few times and he's trying to force himself on me again.....disaster...I don't usually drink <_< but he makes me....pure evil I tells ya! :headbanger::beerbang::lol:

The awesome Wotty on a day out to Windsor (what a stressful trip down that was I was wasted when I got there) to meet up with that guitar bloke Pete Fry....oh yeah and that Jez bloke was there again, hard to escape him.

I'm hoping to meet Bernd this Summer but with holidays and invasive in-laws it's looking slim but you never know.

    • I was a pretty big fan. Nature Of The Beast is a killer song. Saw them with Dave Gleeson from the Screaming Jets singing and he did an amazing job, but pretty sure they have a new singer now  I recently went through the two most recent albums before this one and there were a couple of ok tracks, but mostly mid. Fun fact: I saw the Angels a couple of years before Doc died at the Middle hotel in Ferntree Gully and they seemed to hate each other. Pretty sure Doc said nothing to the crowd all night. Fun fact 2: when they were building the transit bar in Melbourne, a mate and I found a service elevator that went to the roof, which was under construction. After peeing off the roof, which is always fun, we realised that we could clearly hear the music 5 or 6 floors below from a DJ I think. He was playing Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again. We started yelling down the No Way Get Fucked, Fuck Off bit thinking we were hilarious. Then soon we noticed people looking up, and for some reason they seemed to be clearly hearing us. Another mate then called us to tell us security were on the way up the stairs so we took the service elevator down and managed to laugh it off. Stoopid drunk story I guess, but fun days.
    • Cheeky, getting your artwork in there. I wonder how you did that.  I like the vocal track on #1 and that'd be my pick. I personally don't dig the female versions of songs, because I'm not a female (yet?) and as these are songs written by ourselves I personally feel the best interpretation is an AI dude voice taking the place of your dude voice.
    • Yeah, that's great but this is obviously an accomplished musician probably completely in control of this output... not done with Suno, I'd bet. There's definitely dudes out there who are perfectly capable of doing their own music, like this dude, but for whatever reason might not be able to put a project together, again, for whatever reason... but this definitely feels a lot more like AI feeling in the missing gaps for someone otherwise in complete control of what he wants.  Either way, it is very cool indeed.  As Darkstone says, I'm not sure paying is the way to get the best results. I'm also not saying it isn't, especially with other platforms that are not Suno. I think already knowing what you're doing, musically, is the best way to get best results, personally. Suno, for example, is just perfect for someone who might enjoy writing lyrics but is not in any way shape or form an accomplished (or even adequate, lol) musician.  But yeah, it's pretty cool for some fun. I'm not sure if you checked out my links above. Keeping them pretty quiet due to lyrical content, lol, but you might dig some of the stuff in my links. 'As the moment passes by' and 'I'll wait for you' are two of my personal faves. Along with 'Faith to fall.'
    • Yeah, musically it's what you want, but vocally... Maybe Alex should take some vocal lessons from Ken Tamplin. ;}
    • Your Eyes - Darkstone (2024) Two versions of my song number 6     https://suno.com/song/e8c1e85b-21ee-4d35-a64b-e786f00944d2   https://suno.com/song/9144c77a-bd7c-49c1-9508-f724d0832fdb
    • Yep, although I was never a massive fan.
    • Yes, celebrating their fifty years. There only two original members left in the band. Dusty might agree with me the Angels died when the original singer passed away.
    • It's just not the same without the Doc though...
