Yeah, Night Ranger for me too, with the opener, 'Don't Tell Me You Love Me' being my favourite track.

This one's a no brainer for me.

"Iron Maiden" 100%.

The first album I bought with my own money. It was pocket money, but still my own money nonetheless. 

I was 9 at the time, pushing 10 and even though I purchased it with my own money, I still needed the all important approval of my Mum. 

It was given, the purchase was made and the rest is History. 

I can't go past the title track as my favourite.

Have to go Maiden, prob best metal album of all time.

But also have to mention the sublime Asia Debut , which would be no 1 in virtually any other year and is almost a benchmark for AOR for me 

Both prob in my top 10 albums of all time 

(Toto is missing but that would prob be no 3 in 1982 with Night Ranger and Survivor rounding out an incredible top 5)

Gonna have to go with Night Ranger, and might even pick their eponymous track as my favourite from the album.

Iron Maiden for me and I know people will roll their eyes but Run to the Hills is my favourite track.

Yes have to go with Iron Maiden. Same as you, some nice memories. I think I was around 8 or 9 when this and 'Appetite for destruction' were the first cassettes I ever purchased with the help of my parents(money haha). Loved the artworks just as much as the songs. Played them non stop in our little Sony cassette player for a year or two before I added 'Blizzard of ozz', 'Keeper of the seven keys:part ll', 'Fireworks',and probably 'Thundersteel' to my collection.

Aldo  Nova  would be my most played of all of these, but as with a lot of the other years, many of these would be very very  close.. Asia, Y&T, Scorpions, Maiden and Night Ranger all brilliant discs

My favorite albums from several bands (Kiss, Maiden, Priest, Y&T, Scorpions, Accept, Night Ranger, Twisted Sister and Asia) all came out in '82.  Of that lot I'd select Number of the Beast as my top choice

TS Under the Blade very closely followed by Maiden

As soon as I saw the list I expected a bunch for..>
Kiss - never got the attraction to this album, one of their worst for me
Aldo Nova - never was able to get into this but people froth it.
Van Halen - likewise was never able to get most of the earlier stuff. For me DLR on 1984 was great, before that pretty average music overall.

(damn should have posted these in the unpopular opinions thread...)
