Well, if I stick to the music we discuss on this site, it makes it a little easier. Still can't commit to any one song, but I'll go with this today.

Some great choices here.

Stronger Now would be in my top 5, but for a long long time this has been my favorite song...

Man, with the exception of Tesla I'm still waiting for something really great to listen to, goddammit... Not that I expect much, of course.

Sorry.

Tough since I tend to say what I have recently listened to as it is the first thing that comes to mind

That would be GNR - 14 years

Nice choice. Rarely mentioned.

That's actually one of my favourite GNR tracks.

Just for the sake of playing along......Hardline "Hands of Time"..........

This might be the Hardline tune I've listened to the most. I always thought it was the absolute best closing track.

It evokes such great emotion from me.....I never tire of it and it has all of the elements of a great song to me.

Gods of Wrath Metal Church

And yes the topic is brutal as mentioned due to way to many favorites. However the self titled from MC is and was played daily all through high school and beyond. Not a bad song on the disc.

Second choice would go to The Losers from Warrior Soul and thier epic debut another record that is perfect from start to stop.

Monty Are I - 'Making Sounds'

I've just been listening to this album for the first time and its bloody good !

Making sounds is definitely the stand out song though

Yeah, they were a great band. Make sure you get their debut too. And yeah, that song above all others has permanent residency in my head, and when I play it in the flesh it always blows my mind all over again.

There is no 'best option' its peoples fav track.

Just interesting to read peoples choices.

No, Glen! We've all failed to provide him with the best option. We should all feel ashamed. I know I do.

Ain't it the truth, bro. You should have listed some obscure heavy metal track from '82 for God's sake.

What's the meaning of "reading' peoples choices except of listening to the actual songs. For you it may be a pastime, but for me it's a learning experience.

Obviously I've listened to the ones I wasn't aware of. Well, not only I wasn't blown away like I expected, but actually I didn't even like them. And that's okay, despite my initial disappointment which I expressed. And I never intended to sound like a dickhead with the attitude of "your taste is crap, mine is superior" and comparing penises' lengths and other stuff we did in elementary school.

Btw, the track I posted here was taken, some years ago, from a similar list I read in another forum I frequently visit. I wasn't aware of it. And since then, not only Ray Gillen is my all time favorite singer, but also 2-3 songs from that phenomena disc are lifetime companions.
