There was a episode of South Park where the kids are in a little league tournament and they play "Your The Best" by Joe Esposito.

South Park always have metal references. "Havent you ever heard that song by Loverboy, you cant cross the DNA of a pig and an elephant?" those guys are hilarious,

Yes, and Cartman singing Sailing Away by Styx...just classic.

and for the coffee taste test for Harbucks, "we need to get a band everybody likes, how about Toto" I couldnt quit laughing, those fuckers are some of the most clever writers in history, the way they are always taking jabs at the hollywood elite, true genius.

During last night's season premier of "My Name is Earl", REO Speedwagon's "Roll With the Changes" played while Earl was having to approach the different prison gangs for favors.

Foghat - slow ride

George Thorgood & The Destroyers - Who do you love

The Allman Brothers Band - Aint wastin time no more

The Allman Brothers Band - Midnight rider

Grand Funk Railroad - Walk like a man

Lynyrd Skynyrd - Call me the breeze

Lynyrd Skynyrd - That smell

Jet - Get me outta here

Bon Jovi - Wanted dead or alive

Bon Jovi - Lost highway

CCR - Keep on chooglin

AC/DC - Highway to hell

ELO - Showdown

White Zombie - Thunder kiss 65

Brian Wilson - Good vibrations

Yeah, South Park always mocks "hair metal". I've heard Paul Stanley's 'Live to win' and Cinderella's 'Don't know what you got' both used in the show... both times in very mock-worthy terms.

The new advert for "Pure Blond" beer here in Australia is using Warrant's CHERRY PIE as it's soundtrack

Yeah I saw that 2 nights ago too. Metal.

.... There's a TV commercial here in Denmark where IRON MAIDEN's "Can I Play with Madness?" is used as an attention-catcher... Trust me, it works! :)

I was watching my Northern Exposure box tonight and on episode 6 (Sex, Lies and Ed's Tape) in the bar they play a Crue song, not sure which it is but I'm 90% certain it's them.

But the big revelation was they played Giant - I'll See You in My Dreams later on in the episode.Woooo the air keyboards were out !!!!!

I was watching a bit of "Terminator 2" yesterday and chuckled when I saw the kid who was friends with Edward Furlong (aka John Connor) early in the movie wearing a vintage L.A. Guns t-shirt. Does that count?

When the College Gameday show would start each Saturday on the Four Letter Network the opening song was by Firehouse but unfortunately I can't remember which track, surprisingly a more obscure song though, not one of their hits.

Arguably the worst rock song ever recorded, off arguably the worst hard rock CD ever recorded. :)

Cool, thanks Wes, that's why I didn't recognize it. I've never owned that cd. But I thought the track sounded pretty good when I heard it.

And Geoff... "Cleanup in aisle five". :geoffadillos:

I like that song. It's a fun upbeat rocker. Now when CJ raps in "The Dark" that's whole other story.

I don't mind the 'O2' disc. 'The Dark' and 'Jumpin' are pretty awful, but then there is the excellent 'Loving You Is Paradise' which is a gorgeous toon and the excellent 'Call Of The Night' plus a few other tracks that are ok. So not a complete disaster area!.

I like 'Call of the night'... the rest is horrible, imo.

The songs are just really terrible. It's not like they went grungy or anything like that. They're just truly terrible songs you'd never have expected to hear from Firehouse. Some of the lyrics are stunningly awful.

    • Released back in 2019 on vinyl only in most of the world, the only place it could be purchased on CD was Japan. It is finally available on CD to the rest of the world with the addition of two bonus tracks. One is the usual "bonus" track of a live recording of Go man go, and the other is the song Don't give up which was released at the start of the pandemic as a single. https://townsendmusic.store/product/140275?lf=035f179d9c80928d2d3b155fa72b0731 Follow the breadcrumbs to a sonic treasure trove with Alice Cooper's "Breadcrumbs" EP, which will be available on CD for the first time ever, featuring additional bonus tracks on this edition! Originally released in 2019 as a limited-edition 10" vinyl record, "Breadcrumbs" is a tribute to the garage rock heroes of Alice Cooper's hometown of Detroit. The EP features six tracks that showcase Cooper's raw and energetic take on classic Detroit tunes, including Suzi Quatro's "Your Mama Won't Like Me", Bob Seger's "East Side Story", and the MC5's "Sister Anne". It also includes the two additional bonus tracks "Don’t Give Up", conveying Cooper’s message of hope and perseverance to his fans during the COVID-19 pandemic, and a live version of "Go Man Go" from his electrifying set at Hellfest 2022. The album featured a star-studded lineup of Detroit musicians, including Wayne Kramer of the MC5, Johnny "Bee" Badanjek of the Detroit Wheels, and Mark Farner of Grand Funk Railroad. "Breadcrumbs" marked the beginning of Alice Cooper's homecoming, a journey that culminated in the critically acclaimed studio album "Detroit Stories", released in 2020. This EP served as a taste of Cooper's profound affection for his hometown's rich musical heritage, making it an essential addition for any devoted fan of the shock rock icon.   1. Detroit City 2020 2. Go Man Go 3. East Side Story 4. Your Mama Won't Like Me 5. Devil With A Blue Dress On / Chains Of Love 6. Sister Anne 7. Don't Give Up (Bonus Track) 8. Go Man Go (Live At Hellfest 2022) (Bonus Track)
    • New song "Summerlovin" feat. Olli Herman, me likey...
    • Pretty awesome! I often fantasize about starting an AOR, but I know nothing about making music.
    • Not gonna lie, I kind of like it. Hardly classic Crue, more like something that would have appeared on the Corabi-fronted self-titled album, but it's not bad for an oldschool band trying a modern hard rock song. That being said, I expect my opinion to be a lonely one, and I understand why fans are dogging on it...
    • Hi everybody, my band (Ricky Shindig) just released a cover version of Journey's Separate Ways. Before we were Ricky Shindig, three of us were in a cover band together. As a little "turn back time" we decided to record a cover song while we slowly start working on some new material.  We chose 'Separate Ways' because this song is an essential part of every Ricky Shindig party and one of the catchiest songs ever written. We are looking forward to hearing any kind of feedback
    • Posted the first few videos when they dropped but realised I had not posted about the album, which is probably as I can't afford it. Not only is the CD $20 ($30 signed), but the postage to the UK is $46.25, which is by far the most anyone from the USA has tried to charge. Their answer when I questioned this was "We don't control the postal system". Now I know US prices are high on postage, but not this high. $30 seems to be the norm these days, but I have had two CD orders from the USA that have cost $9 and $5 (not sure how but I aint complaining). Anyway, the album is already out
    • Do they really hate the ex-singer so they want to erase him from the previously released albums? They started this process on Diamonds.
    • "Maybe Tomorrow" by Zaza
    • The whole album is excellent, really crisp, sharp production.
