As much as I loathe CNN in general and the Left's misportrayal of Trump's policies and agenda, Hannity is no better. He's a hack.

1. Biden is no more at fault for COVID's spread than Trump was. The Right objected to that characterization of Trump at the time, so it's not fair to pull the same shit on Biden. The restriction of COVID in the U.S., more so than in other countries, is state and locally controlled, not Federal. Also, blaming Biden for Delta and Lambda is as bad as blaming Trump for COVID to begin with. Stop it.

2. The inflationary spending as a result of COVID started under Trump; it didn't just magically start under Biden. That said, it was a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation, and Congress knew full well what printing all that funny money would do. This isn't a surprise. Stop it.

3. Gasoline most certainly NOT at the highest prices ever. Nowhere near it, even if you don't factor inflation into the equation. Stop it.

4. The border crisis IS a fair blame. The Left demonized the Trump administration for "kids in cages" (never mind that this practice began under Obama not Trump), so Biden should be held accountable here. Fuck open borders.

5. Foreign policy under Biden is looking to be more feckless and weak than it was under Obama and I didn't think that was possible. This scares me more than most of the other things the senile bastard does.

He was handed a vastly improved mostly secure, functional working border.....not a "mess" like that c#nt Jen Psaki and Company have been lying about and propagating since Day 1.You can't lie through your teeth and get away with it anymore left-wingers.

Gas is going to go through the roof because his energy polices are complete and total sh!t!  We were well on our way to becoming energy independent under Trump after years of dependence on middle eastern trash.

I agree with most of that...even the mess at the border, although it wasn't all that rosy under Trump either....as for foreign policy, the dumbest thing he has done (Trump planned to do it as well) is to pull out of Afghanistan, I understand wanting to get out after all this time but after all the money, time, energy and lives spent to remove the terrorist loving/supporting Taliban, the Taliban are a few seconds away from taking control of the country again, bringing the situation full circle...so why go in in the first place if you aren't going to finish the job....allowing Afghanistan to be run by the Taliban is something that I suspect will be regretted for decades to come....as Iran and China are already making friends with the Taliban and will make any future attacks on them very difficult indeed...

The Taliban are the most evil regime. Any country that befriends those bastards has shown their true colours. People of all political persuasions should at least agree about the Taliban.

I just think of my 2 cousins, and 1 cousins husband as well as my roomate in college who now died for absolutely nothing, I guess it's in the eye of the beholder, but to me it feels pretty useless now

I was speaking to an old veteran who said that they fight for their mates, the blokes next to them on the right and the left. Of course they want to fight for a just cause, but they certainly don't fight for the leaders who make the policies or decisions. And leaving before the job is finished doesn't diminish the sacrifice of those who fell before. That ain't on them, that is on the leadership.

There's a saying that goes something like:

"Keep your friends close but keep your enemies even closer"

Or:

"I kill people for money but you're my friend so I'll kill you for nothing"

Where the hell am I going with this?!

I dunno mate.

I don't know the context of this photo, but he essentially had two options, to salute or to take the man's hand.

If he had of went with the handshake, then you would've posted that with the same comment.

Personally, I think using the formal military greeting as opposed to a handshake is the opposite of weakness. Especially considering the hand was offered.

Trump just gave him a big FUCK YOU!

Am I interpreting that wrong?

Having said that, as I said, I have no idea what happened after the shot. He may have went on to shake his hand and I would look quite the fool.

It wouldn't be the first time.

No he went on to give Trump a hand all right, a handy, then finished him off by tongue, like every world leader  on the planet, Trump was walking up, they all pull knee pads out and bow to him, that's what strength is,

Let me tell what weakness looks like, weakness cuts 10,000 jobs the day it gets into office, Weakness pulls our military out of somewhere weve invested so much and lost so much, then lets the people we fought off just blow back in and retake it all, weakness sees terrorists start launching rockets into one of our closest allies state, weakness sees russian and chinese hackers hack into our most sensitive data banks, and breach our mainframe, cutting gas off to the east coast and stopping meat from being processed and delivered to mid western grocery stores, weakness completely ignores anyone from anywhere who wants to do harm to a country they hate, who are flooding in unchecked carrying the virus that they are demonizing their own citizens for not being vaxed for, weakness shows on the world play ground that looks like a kid whose big brother just left and now all the other kids are fucking with him and taunting him, weakness shows most when you cant even keep your lies straight inside of your own cabinet, or when you cant complete a cogent sentence.

That photo above wasn't weakness, that photo was a true American, who loved this country and took pride in what it stood for, not the pathetic little fucking stooge who's barely hanging on after using the first 8 months to destroy his own country from the inside out, then open the borders and destroy it from the outside in, flooding it with the derelicts and trash from all the other country's, in every aspect of the word WEAKNESS, you don't have to look any further then your traitorous puppet Joe, he is the def of WEAKNESS, as well as spineless, hes a fucking tool, and his entire cabinet and all who voted him in are a disgrace and dont deserve to live in this great country and enjoy all it's positives, and If you like all he's done, you should go the fuck to china, where you can live like you want as a commie, and not fuck shit up for people who love freedoms.and weakness will without doubt sell it's citizens short on how much we do love our country, and will die before we let commies take over it, it will never happen.

Yeah that is not proper protocol but Trump knows nothing about protocol or respect...just like when he referred to the US war dead as suckers and losers because he was 'smart' enough to avoid the Vietnam war draft ....

I don't think he did. The US is not at war with China. This is merely a General from a foreign Country.

I still think his action was a diplomatic Fuck You.

Going with the salute and refusing to shake an offered hand is a huge affront in any culture. (Maybe not so much these days with the 'rona.)

Not so sure it was a fuck you, just a cultural thing, so Trump went with the military salute, which is a sign of respect and the Chinese military man (sorry not even a care to who he is) went with the western salutation, the hand shake. Each attempting to show respect, which is not a show of weakness.

As for presidents saluting it is stated that no civilian, even retired military should "salute" as that is an active military thing. President Reagan started doing it as a sign of respect (and awkwardness at the servicemen/women who would salute him for ever, which is a thing as the the president is the "commander in chief" and the salute is as mentioned is a form of respect to that position.)

Don't bring common sense into the discussion. :)

    • I just ordered, Shotgun Mistress – [2021] Shotgun Mistress & Pre-ordered Shotgun Mistress - [2024] Kings Of The Revolution. I just found out about these guys great stuff can't believe I had never heard of ....
    • Man, I really miss places like this! I could spend hours in them just looking at all the stuff. You’re a lucky man to live near there.
    • New album out June 28. Not my style per se, but well executed IMO.
    • "Still in Love" and "Sweet Melody" by Lancia
    • I posted about this record store (well, CD store really... it has a fair amount of vinyl, but the focus is CDs) 2 years ago. I go there about once a year, and every single time I do I keep kicking myself to go there more often. Not only for the sheer enjoyment of being able to shop the music genres we love and view all these releases in hand, but because it's so damned overwhelming. There's never time to go through things at leisure, pulling out boxes under racks to rummage, because even flying through things and NOT exploring new artists, it's still 3-4 hours to go through the alphabet... let alone stopping and using their listening station (they'll let you listen to used/opened material, not still sealed merch). It's only an hour and a half drive for me each way, so there's really ZERO excuse for me not going over there more frequently. This time I remembered to take a bunch of pictures, pulling out releases from artists we enjoy just to show what they had in stock... a lot of material you'll never see at any mainstream store (even if there is any that carry CDs anymore). Sure, the prices are more expensive than what you'll pay at Amazon and other online stores, but they're not as bad as you would think, and there are bargains to be had amongst the used material when it comes to OOP discs. And to be fair, being able to view all this stuff in-hand is worth it IMO. (Although every now and then you'll see an OOP disc that is WAAAAAAAY overpriced, but at least they have the odd and unusual.) They have one of those old-school "buyer club" stamp cards, with 20 spaces. One stamp per disc purchased. Every other stamp you get a dollar off, and when you fill a card you get $16.99 off your purchase and then you get a new card. On your birthday, you get $1 off every CD and that's on top of the buyer club card discounts. First the pics from when I was going through the aisles, starting with some general pics. Every single artist has its own title card, so look at the variety and depth of the artists. Also, look at the overstock in boxes underneath all the racks! That's the shit I never have time to go through (except when there's a specific artist I'm focusing in on). You've got CDs in the racks, then ringing the entire room is a shelf of box sets and limited editions, then above that VHS tapes, and above that vintage audio equipment. Sections for DVDs and blu-rays (not just music, but movies as well, including a small section of 4K and 3D titles). There's a smaller upper room level that is nothing but vinyl. If you're going to go, plan at least a full day, not just a quick drive-by. They're open from 11AM - 7PM Eastern Time.     Expensive at $249.99, but how many places have a still-sealed copy of the Vanden Plas Epic Works box set???     And now the stuff I picked up this trip. Most is completist fodder. There are a few artists where I literally want an example of every single pressing, even if I already have other label/year/country versions... call me OCD.               I picked up this one for trade/resale even though I already have it, as it is the LOOOONG out of print original fan club edition.     Hmmm... didn't know there was a solo effort, and it seems to be thematically related to the Threshold album "Legend of the Shires".       More OCD completist fodder. I didn't know that Avalon Records (Japan) licensed releases for South Korea.         Live albums aren't normally my thing, but this appears to be way out of print, and for $10 why not?   A few OOP releases for my multichannel audio collection       I'll be posting more about these once I get my shit together, but I'm WAAAAAAAAAY fucking late to the game when it comes to the Jethro Tull 40th anniversary CD + DVD special editions. They only reason I knew about them at all is that I saw a blurb about the 40th anniversary edition of "Broadsword and the Beast", which is my alltime favorite JT album, the first one I ever heard, and I love the album cover... which led me down the rabbithole of all these anniversary editions and their multichannel mixes. Unfortunately a few of them are now OOP and insanely in the $150-300 range. I ordered all of the ones that were still in print (or that had been reprinted), but there were still 4 that I needed... and they had one of them.   And lastly, the most expensive purchase of the day, going back to previous box set discussions, this was one that wasn't on my radar at the time it came out. Based upon eBay listings, it's now a tough find... and they had one still sealed. No, it's not the Amazon exclusive that was signed by Biff Byford, but autographs aren't important enough for me to spend the $500-$1,000 that the signed version now brings. This one will do nicely at a fraction of the cost... a huge and hefty tome (literally).   So when all was said and done, a great (and expensive!) shopping day, but a place I wholeheartedly recommend visiting should you find yourself out here in flyover country. JL Records 380 Brown St West Lafayette, IN 47906 https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100041894265953
