4 months in...... who you got in your #1 slot as of today MAY 1, 2021??

My most listened to so far has been Art Of Illusion so I guess that's my top dog so far.

But Dirty Honey is in my hands and ready to be consumed...... hope it's as good as their 2019 EP.

Haven't listened to the Art of Illusion as much as I'd like.

That's very similar to mine.

Temple Balls #1 for me.  Followed by:

W.e.t, Maverick, Walk the Walk and Ronnie Atkins.

I expect Midnite City to crash that list when it drops later this month though.

Maverick would prob be no 6 for me. Good album but not as melodic as before and not sure how many spins it will get tbh

Cant help feeling Temple Balls is just a second rate HEAT. We've been too spoiled with Erik crushing this style of melodic rock that everything else seems a bit sub par

I listened to Page 99 but it was a bit too Westcoast for me

It's been a good start to the year for new music.  My picks are pretty similar to the rest of you.  I'd probably put Ronnie Atkins, W.E.T. and Chez Kane at the top.  But I enjoyed the new albums from Temple Balls, Wig Wam, Maverick and Creye as well.

Pretty decent year so far... some of the standouts for me are (in no particular order):

Ronnie Atkins - One Shot

The L.A. Maybe - Dirty Damn Tricks

Cheap Trick - In Another World

Dirty Honey - S/T

Paul Stanley's Soul Station - Now & Then

Michael Sweet - Reborn Again

The Pretty Reckless - Death By Rock n Roll

Sweet Oblivion - Relentless

Primal Fear - I Will Be Gone (I would love to have a full 10 track CD of this quality)

Agree Maverick might not be quite as melodic as some of their previous stuff but I I think I'm liking it more than their last album.

I guess I don't get that at all with Temple Balls although I suppose I could agree that a lot of stuff out there sounds second rate to Gronwall H.E.A.T :)  For me though, these guys have stepped up their game.  I've spun this album a ton and I'd say it's probably my favorite album since H.E.A.T II dropped last year.

And Erik is gone from H.E.A.T so I have a void to fill.  It remains to be seen what they'll sound like with Kenny on their next album.

I’ll tell you exactly how they will sound with Kenny on the next album - F*cking awesome just like they did from 2007 through to 2010 :)

Absolutely - Only saw them with Kenny once at Sheffield Corporation on the Freedom Rock tour.. so good. Guy has some serious pipes live.

It's as close to pure Westcoast as you're ever gonna get and one of the best of it's type for a very long while. I totally understand it not being for everyone, but i personally love this style of music.
