Best of 2021 thus far

so my top 10 so far would include the following in no order -

Ronnie Atkins

WET

Creye

Art of Illusion

Lebrock

Chez Kane

Levara

Maverick

Midnite City

and.....

Dangerous Curves sounded good enough to round out a great top 10. Didn't love it all but 5 or 6 great tunes so might just creep in.

First year a while that I might actually end up with an excellent top 20 🤔🤞

Listened to Jacob Samuel today.
I was looking through my 'to listen to' folder on spotify and saw it there.
I had no idea who he was or why I had bookmarked it.

Was very happy from song 3 onwards and realised who it was.
These days I rarely know who is in which band nor do I know band members by name most of the time.

Anyway, solid album and I'm sure it will be a highlight of 2021 for me.

Ehh? I'm not seeing the complete album on Spotify, only a few singles. Is the distribution different by country?

I'm surprised more people aren't talking about this one. It seriously is a great release, just made for summer.

somewhere around 15 for me but I've only listened to it twice. Too much music as usual

Will check em out this weekend

So far Creye, WET, Lebrock, Chez Kane, Midnite City,NFO, well the usual suspects

I think Kent Hilli, Rian, Robin Red, and Chris Farren not bad too

At the minute Creye would probably be at the top of my list.

BUT, i'm gonna stick my neck out here even though they have only released 1 track and say the debut ModX album Pieces Of Me due in Noember could be my album of the year. I have not stopped playing this song since it was released last week and if the rest of the album has the same replay value it will be AWESOME!!!

Houston I found a little disappointing and the vocals a bit weak to be honest.

Nestor sounds great but only one play so far. Could be a top 10 but I love each and every one of those currently residing in my top 10.

Eclipse is v good again, but will sit just outside I'm thinking - in that 10-15 range.

Might have to do a proper top 20 this year - been a strong year

I can't even remember what was released this year or last year outside of a month ago, so I'd have to actually sit down and compile a list. And I just can't be bothered. ;}

I Know exactly how you feel,I keep an eye out at the start of the year for a while then lose track of what has been released when it was released and whether or not I actually heard or liked it...i'll get round to it in December  :)

I add files on my phone using folders of the year of release (makes it easier for me).

I've been enjoying and in no particular order...

Robin McAuley - Standing on the Edge

The End Machine - Phase 2

Smith/Kotzen - S/T

Dirty Honey - S/T

Mammoth WVH - S/T

The Pretty Reckless - Death by Rock and Roll

Just off the top of my head...I think they all have been released in 2021?
