Songs with an acoustic intro

I really like these songs that have an acoustic intro such as Firehouse - Don't Treat Me Bad and Boston - Peace of Mind. Does anyone know of anymore good AOR/sleaze/glam/rock songs that have an acoustic intro that I can track down? Do other people on here really like them?

I will have to do some research. The Firehouse song is not only one of my favorite Firehouse songs, it is one of my favorites period !

Night Ranger - Reason To Be

Harem Scarem - Weight Of The World

Saraya - Hitchin A Ride

Steelhouse Lane - Son of a Loaded Gun

Treat - Keep Your Hands To Yourself

[each one of them a bona fide killer track]

How about Motherlodes song Fingerpaint? well I guess that's a harmonica intro, but still an excellent way to intro a kick ass rock song!

Madelaine by Winger

Awesome song!

Probably loads of songs that fit this category, but a couple of big favourites that spring to mind:

Scorpions - Coming Home

Lillian Axe - The World Stopped Turning

Another one I have a lot of love for is Opeth - Ghost of Perdition, but I don't think it quite qualifies as AOR/sleaze/glam/rock as the OP requested (and the acoustic intro is tiny). And then there's Testament - The Ballad... :D

  • My Little Pony

Cinderella - Bad Seamstress Blues/Fallin' Apart at the Seams (One of my favourite tracks!)

Electric Boys - All Lips N Hips (Opens with sitar)

Extreme - Little Girls (No acoustic, but harmonica)

Extreme - Smoke Signals (Another all time favourite song)

Let me know if any of these were what you were looking for.

    • So some may remember that Tyketto toured recently and aside from Forever Young, I never delved into this band. So I did, so I'd know the songs in concert and was blown away. A great band with an awesome catalog that I had missed out on. To be fair, in the 80's it was a lot harder to access and find out about a lot of the more fringe bands, that's my excuse anyway. So I now am faced with digging deeper into some other bands I've overlooked. Some of these I gave a go, and wasn't really impressed, but now I'm starting fresh with an open mind. So below is a list of bands I have eitehr never bothered with, or never really gave a proper go. Lizzy Borden is on the list and I have done a bit of their stuff and like it a lot, so I will definately dig deeper into them (I've got some older stuff and some newer stuff, but have skipped quite a few albums) But the others, fire away, tell me which bands have killer material that I'll froth and how stppid I've been to skip them. • I like the album art. I love when contemporary Glam Metal bands have album art with a genuine 80s vibe to it.
    • Nope, for a while, I used to think Rapunzel from Tangled (2010) was hot... But then I stopped being attracted to cartoon characters.
    • This is definitely the first time I've heard about it, I'll have to give it a listen!
