  1. Ive watched this one at least a 1/2 dozen times since its release. Great movie. Me too. One my favourite films ever!
  2. This was the album that confirmed to me what a freak I am round these parts. Read the (glowing) reviews, bought the CD, played it, played it again, played it a few more times and sold it. With haste.
  3. I couldn't do it either. It's really awful. We're listening to different albums. Somehow. Must be. Cos 'Unaware', 'Until I Die' and 'Breakaway' are all tremendous rock songs. (imo, of course)
  4. So-so mate, thanks. Stressed to breaking point, but otherwise not too bad.
  5. Despise them. Any particular reason? "For the Love of Money" by Obsession is absolutely incredible... ...and "Money" by Stage Dolls is pretty good too.
  6. I noticed he was logged on very briefly here a few weeks ago, but he didn't post anything. He is on FB occasionally I think Cool. Hope he's OK.
  7. Any sign lately? Apologies if covered elsewhere, but I've been missing for a while myself.
  8. Definitely checking this one out...
  9. I'm with you mate. Been listening to the album all week and enjoying it.Not quite sure where all lack of love is coming from. Obviously a very opinion polarizing band. Yeah, happens a lot. I think the song posted above is an absolute gem, but others don't seem to like it. I just accept that I've got strange taste - whether it's loving this one when nearly everyone else on here is unmoved by it or hating a Treat album when everyone else is bowled over!
  10. Well, they're called Gathering of Kings, Geoffrey, so they're probably not gonna stop until they've gathered them all. I dunno ... you only need three kings to have a (small) gathering. You'd figure anymore than one King and there will be problems. You'd also recon a queen or two and a gaggle of knights would be necessary to round out the table. A jester might keep them amused and stop any hostility...
  11. OK, so I thought I might have been hasty, so I checked out three of the tracks again. I'm not afraid to admit when I'm wrong... ...but they are such great songs! Hugely impressive, count me in.
  12. Sounds pretty good, would like to hear a few more full tracks...

  14. Think that could be a grower. Massively catchy riff, nice chorus and good solo. Verses are a bit bland though, so agree with Geoff on that score.
  15. Don't like the sound of the single or the track with Issa, but some of the others sound good and of course Poley's voice is great. Difficult to tell from ten-second samples though!
  16. I know a band's name shouldn't put someone off checking them out, but this one has for me. 'Grind Cat Grind'?
  17. What a creep. It was your birfday the other day, and you weren't around for me to wish you well. Bastard. Sorry. If it helps at all, I hate myself too.
  18. One might have been me ... then I logged in. First time in a while.
  19. Whoa! Don't usually like Purple-type rock, but the songs on this one sound immense. Really surprised to see the wonderful folk at HH slating it! As usual, all the other captains say it is, I say it isn't.
  20. I bought the debut and thought it was a massive disappointment. Now I'm going to have to listen to the self-titled. And it's all your fault.
  21. Spot on mate, Perfect Symmetry is an incredible album. "A World Apart", "Chasing Time" and "Nothing Left to Say" are all incredible songs. Quality.
  22. There's the number one right there. Awesome. Struggling with any of your other picks though, with the exception of the rather lovely Youthanasia. Testament - Low was another goodie, but it was a pretty average year.
  23. As a Brit with an interest in the Pats (as well as the Chiefs and Eeeeeeagles) - what's this about?
  24. Don't often agree with Glen, but have to do just that on two counts in this thread. One, "Blackout In The Red Room" is a cracking album. Defintely way more than two great songs. (Although Geoff is bang on about the best ones - title track and "Straightjacket".) Two, I don't get the fuss about the Paul Laine album. Pretty average imo.
