Hey, guys.............anyone ever buy directly from FnA's website? I am wanting to get ahold of the Tora Tora CDs, and the one St. Warren Cd and was unsure how quick, efficient, etc. they were on their website.

Thanks,

I've made two separate purchases from their website and had zero problems. Very fast shipping.

I ordered the Tora Tora discs and the shipping was very fast but my only complaint was the cost was like $7-$8 for three discs.

I had an issue with them as well but it was them selling on Ebay and it was also about shipping. $6 to ship 2 cd's media mail? And when I asked for a better price I was ignored. While I was waiting for a response I got an unpaid item notice? So, I paid them. Then when I got the cd's and saw how cheap the postage was, I left appropriate feedback & haven't bought from them since.

They are not all silver pressed. Tragic Romance was the first of theirs that I had purchased that I noticed was a cdr. I checked all my other FNA releases and they were silver pressed. Before I placed the last order I inquired about which of their new releases was a cdr or silver. They responded with only one of the five I ordered as being silver pressed. The rest are cdr. Unfortunately they are also pricey on shipping. I waited until I could order a whole bunch just to save on shipping. $9.50 for five cds. That Tragic Romance cd took 2 months to get (they blamed it was because of a new employee). It has been 3 and a half weeks since I placed this ordered and have not recieved it as of yet.

More and more I am realizing that Eonian is becoming the best of the labels that issue older bands. I have all of Eonians stuff ableit one cd and they are all silver pressed. Plus they have great packaging to boot.

I totally agree about Eonian. They are a great label with all quality releases and all silver with great artwork. I hope they continue to find more unreleased gems out there. While not all of the bands would have been big there are several that should have at least released an album or two back in the day.

I ordered the Theatre re-issue it came within the week.

Was the Theatre re-issue silver pressed or was it a CD-R. This is one that I asked about on their facebook page and they never responded.

A friend of mine received his and it actually is a silver-pressed CD.

    • So finally got around to listening to the album (still waiting for CD to arrive but at least a digital version came with the order). This is defo the best album he has released since leaving Skid Row, and is better than anything released by his former band (even the Erik fronted album). I liked his solo stuff, but he was always trying too hard to be modern and heavy, so there were very few actual stand out tracks. On here though it really is more of a throwback. While not quite classic Skid Row, it is probably as close as we will ever get, kinda sitting somewhere sonically between the first two albums. The only downside for me is the fact there is only one ballad and it doesn't even come close to the two that featured on Angel Down. Seb took a long break between this and his previous album, and I think in that time he has taken time to reevaluate what he wants to do musically. As stated earlier, even the album cover is a throwback with it being a painting his father started decades ago. Hopefully any future releases will stick to this style, and not return to the style used on his last few albums.
    • Not sure, but sounds like christian lyrics to me. And could'nt find it on HH yet. 25 years ago I would have loved this, today I'm atheist and do not listen anymore to such... explicit lyrics.
    • Spider of Destiny-Frank Zappa
    • I got it for free when I bought the Dirty Americans album. It's a cool little sampler.
    • Ha, I remember them. Good stuff.
    • Better than I expected, honestly, as GUN was never my thing.
    • Agree. Have been a fan of Halestorm and Lzzy....she's fantastic. That said though, this Skid Row thing just feels "off" to me.  She sounds fine but I think it's simply that hearing a female voice do the songs just doesn't seem right after listening to the originals for so long.   I much prefer hearing Lzzy in Halestorm.  I'd rather see her concentrate on that and also concentrate on doing new music that's more in line with their first 2 albums!
    • From memory it was recorded after the original pledge release of Beautiful things and was added as a bonus song when it became available to the general public.
