Over the weekend, finally got to go to Vintage Vinyl in Fords, NJ. Didn't drop a ton of coin (as I had other costs this weekend), but for a quick jaunt, it was nice to get back in the "hunt" again.

American Heartbreak - s/t

Britny Fox - Bite Down Hard

Paul Gilbert - Silence Followed By A Deafening Roar

You should love both the Tesla and Ozzy, both are great IMO.

I actually prefer the previous 3 Tesla releases but Bust a Nut is awesome too.

"Solution" and "Shine Away" both rule. :headbanger:

Start with "The Legacy", "Low", "New Order" or "Practice What you Preach" before "Souls".

Don't get me wrong it's a good album but it's kind of like "Practice" Part 2.

HAHA! I am almost scared to say what I did today. This will mean nothing to anyone outside of Australia... But I went out to collect money from the bank for the till today and before I went to the bank I quickly ducked into a CD shop and bought *cringe*... wait, wait. Before I say it, I should say I only bought it because:

a ) Andre (melodircrockoz) actually said AGES ago that this was a good disc.

b ) It was $2

Anyway, I bought...

Lee Harding - whatever the f*ck it's called.

thats very sneaky of you G, using me as leverage like that, you've just put me in the line.

anyways what are your thoughts?

Andre defines emo.

Seriously, guys, this was shit. The 3rd or 4th song - something about 'love' was a nice commercial rock song but there 10,000 much better bands doing this kind of thing. As I said in the PM, Andre, something like Yellowcard, SR-71, A Change of Pace, Just Surrender, SR-71 etc. would blow your mind if you really actually liked this thing. All 100% better.

Our very own Kid Courageous devours this band and then multiplies it by 1000.

7th Heaven - 'USA-UK'

is it a digipack?

Is that the cardboard fold-open packing? If so, yes it is.

i hate digipacks!!

Backed. Well at least the Cheap Cardboard ones.

The ones that the label AFM releases are really cool, almost like a hard cover book.

    • So some may remember that Tyketto toured recently and aside from Forever Young, I never delved into this band. So I did, so I'd know the songs in concert and was blown away. A great band with an awesome catalog that I had missed out on. To be fair, in the 80's it was a lot harder to access and find out about a lot of the more fringe bands, that's my excuse anyway. So I now am faced with digging deeper into some other bands I've overlooked. Some of these I gave a go, and wasn't really impressed, but now I'm starting fresh with an open mind. So below is a list of bands I have eitehr never bothered with, or never really gave a proper go. Lizzy Borden is on the list and I have done a bit of their stuff and like it a lot, so I will definately dig deeper into them (I've got some older stuff and some newer stuff, but have skipped quite a few albums) But the others, fire away, tell me which bands have killer material that I'll froth and how stppid I've been to skip them. Aldo Nova Badlands Baby Tango Baton Rouge Black N Blue Britney Fox BulletBoys DAD Giant Hanoi Rocks Hardline Jetboy King Kobra Kingdom Come Lillian Axe Lizzy Borden Loudness Love Hate Quireboys Saigon Kick Santa Cruz Shotgun Messiah SleezeBeez SouthGang Tiger Tailz TNT Vain White Tiger

    • I like the album art. I love when contemporary Glam Metal bands have album art with a genuine 80s vibe to it.
    • Nope, for a while, I used to think Rapunzel from Tangled (2010) was hot... But then I stopped being attracted to cartoon characters.
    • This is definitely the first time I've heard about it, I'll have to give it a listen!
