Butterfly Effect 2 ; always loved the first one (though can't really remember it) and I have to say, although far from perfect I did enjoy this one plenty,

Butterfly Effect 3 ; the wife went to bed after the first one, but I just had to see this out. Put on this DVD and possibly enjoyed this one even more. The storyline and "twist" in the above was hidden in plain site, but this one was a little harder to read. It was there all along but never the center of my mind. Again, it's not amazing and all these time travel concepts open themselves to flaws in the storyline, but I really enjoyed it. Cool trilogy.

I didn't know of these sequels. We're talking 'bout the Ashton Kutcher flick from 2004?

I loved that one.

Yeah mate, that's the one. They're all kind of independent storylines, but yes, all stemming from that first film. If you liked the first one you will enjoy the other two.

Then you just waste a good 90 minutes of your life buddy :D

Yeah. I've watched so many terrible movies. Always looking for some hidden gem. You gotta sift through a lot of shit, but the payoff is usually worth it.

I can't stand it bro, but let me know the payoff you mentioned, don't tell me those shits okay :D

Well, the first thing you need to watch is the new Mad Max film. Even though it's not a hidden gem. Unbelievably amazing. I did not expect it to be that good, and I had high expectations. I shit you not, this film will be folk's Top 100 Films of All-time lists. I'm not sure if it's playing in Indonesia, yet, but as soon as you're able to watch it -- I'm now addressing anyone reading this -- go and watch it. I'm seeing it again this Friday.

Love the first Mad Max film; love the third one (the second one is 'okay') ... no interest whatsoever in this re-boot ...

That's a shame. This isn't a re-boot, you know. It's a continuation of the story of Max.

Also, I thought the second film was better than the third. Tina Turner's henchmen annoyed me a bit too much.

"Bonnie and Clyde" (1967)

Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway portray the famed pair of Depression era bank robbers and lovers - who became unlikely folk heroes - in Arthur Penn's classic that set new standards for onscreen violence. It's actually pretty tame by today's standards but it's still an interesting period piece with great performances. Also, Faye Dunaway was ssssssmokin' hot back then!

somehow i feel 'Dexter' here became 'spectator' instead of 'main role' :D

Loved this one. They seemed to switch up genres every twenty minutes. Had me on the edge of my seat the entire film.

"An epic creature thriller in the tradition of Jaws and Deep Blue Sea!"

:rofl2:

Yeah right!

WTF did I just witness? The budget for the film was like 100 bucks. This was so bad that it was funny.

...and there's a sequel ("3 Headed Shark Attack," of course) due in July!

The best thing about this movie was the casting of Carmen Electra and Brooke Hogan. Yum. :D

"Metal Tornado" (2011)

In this cheaper-looking than usual SyFy nonsense, Lou Diamond Philips (remember when he used to have a career?) and Greg "BJ and the Bear" Evigan (!!) battle a whirling, metal-attracting vortex of doom - the by-product of a scientific experiment gone wrong - before it can tear its way through Philadelphia. Pointless.

Shit. I might be a few too many beers in, but I thought I read "Meat Tornado." Now, I'd watch that!

"The November Man" (2014)

Pierce Brosnan may not be James Bond anymore, but he can still whoop some spy-game ass! He's a retired CIA agent who gets "reactivated" to protect a girl who's been targeted by some very bad Eastern European people. Cool cloak and dagger stuff.

"M*A*S*H*" (1970)

In this classic satire of military life during the Korean War, the day-to-day adventures of two Army field-hospital surgeons (Donald Sutherland and Elliott Gould) include playing pranks on their superior officers, drinking lots of martinis, hitting on nurses, and occasionally saving some lives.

Like many people, I am more familiar with the long-running TV series based on this movie, than with the film itself. Released during the height of the Vietnam conflict, the crude humor in "M*A*S*H*" was apparently considered quite shocking/subversive in its day (legend has it that this was the first major studio film in which someone said the "F" word), but its edges have been dulled by the passage of time. There's no real "story" to this movie, it feels like it was stitched together from a bunch of random sketches.. Still, it's a fairly entertaining period piece.
