Ice Age 1, 2, 3 and 4....

Love the series...

Yeah, great films. I thought the 4th one was a little weaker than the others, but still good fun.

We watched Crank again last night. Ridiculous story, but decent enough action film. Ideal film for us as my missus loves Jason Statham and my favourite thing abut the film is this:

"Superman/Batman: Public Enemies" (2009)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ytffliMuUwI

Lex Luthor is elected President of the United States, and his first official act is to declare Superman and Batman as Public Enemies #1 and 2, with a billion dollar bounty on their heads. Much butt kicking ensues, as virtually every super villain in the DC Universe - and a lot of heroes too - try to collect that reward money. Oh, and just to complicate things even further for Supes and Bats, there's a gigantic kryptonite meteor headed towards Earth big enough to wipe out the planet. More action packed animated fun from DC Comics!!

That sounds like a cool idea. Although I would love it a huge amount more if it had been done with Marvel characters...

"Bad Santa" (2003)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jyurNrqSebk

Black-as-coal holiday comedy from Terry "Crumb" Zwigoff stars Billy Bob Thornton as a drunken, foul mouthed, perverted department store Santa and safecracker whose plans for a Christmas Eve mall robbery are complicated by his abusive midget partner, a strange kid who thinks he's the real Santa, and a girlfriend with a St. Nick fetish. Profane, tasteless, twisted, and totally wrong on so many levels... but still funny as hell.

"Wrong Turn 2: Dead End" (2007)

Sequel to the hillbilly-horror hit finds a group of reality TV contestants lost in the West Virginia backwoods, where they're victimized by a family of inbred cannibals. Hilarity ensues.

This fast-moving little sickie doesn't just raise the bar set by the original, it totally obliterates it. Way more blood & guts, more disturbing imagery of cannibal family life, and a suitably crazed performance by Henry Rollins, who totally rules as the jarhead reality show host, put this one totally over the top.

The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring

I only "watched" the first disc 'caused I passed out during their stay at Rivendale. Is that correct? The elf place.

The Campaign - This did the trick. Not overly hilarious, but pretty damn funny with a few laugh our loud moments. The heavy inclusion of 2 pugs also got it massive brownie points. Yeah, nothing negative to say about it. Just good, silly fun.

My mate tried to make me watch the trilogy right after I'd met who was soon to be my wife. We canoodled, slept, I think I died and had to be resuscitated .. and that was just during the first one. I honestly forget, but I think my mate turned it off after that. I can't remember half a second of it. Hate shit like that...

People either love them or hate them and I love the movies. Then again I started reading the books many years ago so I was pumped up for the movies and they didn't dissapoint at all but to some they had to many slower parts to keep them awake and I get that but they happend almost just as the books did so I'm more than happy with them. The Hobbit came out this week and I look forward to that one too!

Don't get me wrong. I love the films, too. I was just really tired last night. Anyone see The Hobbit, yet? Apparently it's not very good.

    • Swedish Erotica - Down 2 Bizniz. I could only find the full album on YouTube, but "Too Daze Gone..." is a Killer album and this is the opening track, so it works.
    • I wonder what control they have over the releases? That have promoted the BMG individual releases. The 2009 reissues were by original label, EMI. And this boxset seems weird being issued by Cherry Red. And I have not seen the bands social media promote it at all. I wonder if the reason the BMG ones were lacking in the bonus tracks from the previous reissue was EMI holding onto the rights, but have now allowed Cherry Red to release them. I know EMI used to be the distributer for Cherry Red, so they may be more forthcoming with the material.
    • Yep, cracking indie release of which there are so many but this one is actually really good.
    • I have been a Band Maid fan since their early days (2015) as I really don't mind foreign vocals as long as the music is great, but I always kinda avoided Babymetal as I saw a video of them once and really wasn't impressed with the kiddy vocals, so never gave them another chance. Fast forward to now and on the back of the collab with Electric Callboy I have decided to give them a go. I thought they had a huge discography as they have like 25 albums, but on closer inspection it is only four studio albums and 21 live albums. As I am not a fan of live albums anyway, I decided to buy the four studio albums as they are all quite cheap. Have to say there music is a mixed bag, but overall really enjoying a lot of it. Not sure if I just picked the wrong song to start with, or if it is just that I have adapted more due to getting into a lot of weird and wonderful foreign bands over the last few years, but I am glad I finally gave them a proper go. Have to say, if this song was sung in English I think they would have a lot of fans on here
    • Babymetal - Metal resistance Babymetal - The other one
    • Enjoyed their last cd "Human Nature" remind me of a mellower Black Stone Cherry, similar to Little Caesar.
    • BlackRain - Hot Rock Time Machine Lee Aaron - Bodyrock
    • Now theres a blast from the past  I'm lucky enough to possess
    • Another i'm still awaiting the arrival of...same day release/delivery my arse Amazon  Still this is sounding like their best release thus far...they are gaining and getting better...although I did enjoy the last few albums also...but the sound/production from this one is excellent.
