We have the "Last movie you watched?" Thread, but it's not enough.

This thread is about anything movie related.

New trailers, classic scenes, favourite movies, soundtracks, interesting facts, whatever.

I'll start with a recent retrospective on one of my alltime favourites.

"The Adventures of Ford Fairlane".

What a Legend the "Diceman" is.

I was lucky enough to obtain most of his CDs back in the day, which I regrettably don't have now.

I remember on one of them he gave a heckler the best comeback ever.

"I fucked your Mother in the ass and she had you."

GOLD!

This movie is a classic and it would be epic if Dice could be persuaded to reboot this ala They Call Me Bruce or the latest Ash vs Evil Dead. Could you imagine, I can and it would be amazing.

Will Smith should have won an extra award with his tearful speech laster on.
Note he didn't apologise to Chris for his poor taste joke, but that's all it was. and had he taken the high road, Chris would have copped a lot of shit, and probably been cancelled.
As it stands now, I think most people feel that Chris got kinda what he deserved, so has been punished, and gets to walk away without much future condemnation.
Smith on the other hand just looks like a tool and will likely be raked over the coals.

Will Smith has lost his mind.

If this is genuine, Chris Rock should have him charged with assault.

I think everyone has seen that part of the oscars :)

True I just wondered if anyone actually saw it in real time without getting up the next day and hearing all about it !

The incident is so multifaceted with Jada's alopecia and history of infidelity, Will's own mental health issues and insecurities, and Chris's insensitive joke, which apparently wasn't the first joke of the night commenting on her condition, but was clearly the final straw.

It was good to see their peers move quickly to try to resolve the issue, especially when Sean Combs said, "Okay, Will and Chris – we're going to solve that like family at [Beyoncé and JAY-Z's] Gold party." Whether or not that actually happened, I dunno.

In the end, who cares? What impact do these people have on our lives?

Dude, he SLAPPED him, like a drunken chick. Not a punch, like a man, a slap, like a bitch and then has a big cry later.  Weirdo, privileged, Scientology wankers. No wonder their kids are all messed up.

Nothing wrong with a slap. But it was the wrong slap.

On "Oscar's" night,

Will Smith looked like he was from the Streets of Philadelphia.

Jada Pinkett Smith looked like she was from the Movie Philadelphia.

Too soon?

Not my joke BTW, but it made me laugh.

    • Released back in 2019 on vinyl only in most of the world, the only place it could be purchased on CD was Japan. It is finally available on CD to the rest of the world with the addition of two bonus tracks. One is the usual "bonus" track of a live recording of Go man go, and the other is the song Don't give up which was released at the start of the pandemic as a single. https://townsendmusic.store/product/140275?lf=035f179d9c80928d2d3b155fa72b0731 Follow the breadcrumbs to a sonic treasure trove with Alice Cooper's "Breadcrumbs" EP, which will be available on CD for the first time ever, featuring additional bonus tracks on this edition! Originally released in 2019 as a limited-edition 10" vinyl record, "Breadcrumbs" is a tribute to the garage rock heroes of Alice Cooper's hometown of Detroit. The EP features six tracks that showcase Cooper's raw and energetic take on classic Detroit tunes, including Suzi Quatro's "Your Mama Won't Like Me", Bob Seger's "East Side Story", and the MC5's "Sister Anne". It also includes the two additional bonus tracks "Don’t Give Up", conveying Cooper’s message of hope and perseverance to his fans during the COVID-19 pandemic, and a live version of "Go Man Go" from his electrifying set at Hellfest 2022. The album featured a star-studded lineup of Detroit musicians, including Wayne Kramer of the MC5, Johnny "Bee" Badanjek of the Detroit Wheels, and Mark Farner of Grand Funk Railroad. "Breadcrumbs" marked the beginning of Alice Cooper's homecoming, a journey that culminated in the critically acclaimed studio album "Detroit Stories", released in 2020. This EP served as a taste of Cooper's profound affection for his hometown's rich musical heritage, making it an essential addition for any devoted fan of the shock rock icon.   1. Detroit City 2020 2. Go Man Go 3. East Side Story 4. Your Mama Won't Like Me 5. Devil With A Blue Dress On / Chains Of Love 6. Sister Anne 7. Don't Give Up (Bonus Track) 8. Go Man Go (Live At Hellfest 2022) (Bonus Track)
    • New song "Summerlovin" feat. Olli Herman, me likey...
    • Pretty awesome! I often fantasize about starting an AOR, but I know nothing about making music.
    • Not gonna lie, I kind of like it. Hardly classic Crue, more like something that would have appeared on the Corabi-fronted self-titled album, but it's not bad for an oldschool band trying a modern hard rock song. That being said, I expect my opinion to be a lonely one, and I understand why fans are dogging on it...
    • Hi everybody, my band (Ricky Shindig) just released a cover version of Journey's Separate Ways. Before we were Ricky Shindig, three of us were in a cover band together. As a little "turn back time" we decided to record a cover song while we slowly start working on some new material.  We chose 'Separate Ways' because this song is an essential part of every Ricky Shindig party and one of the catchiest songs ever written. We are looking forward to hearing any kind of feedback
    • Posted the first few videos when they dropped but realised I had not posted about the album, which is probably as I can't afford it. Not only is the CD $20 ($30 signed), but the postage to the UK is $46.25, which is by far the most anyone from the USA has tried to charge. Their answer when I questioned this was "We don't control the postal system". Now I know US prices are high on postage, but not this high. $30 seems to be the norm these days, but I have had two CD orders from the USA that have cost $9 and $5 (not sure how but I aint complaining). Anyway, the album is already out
    • Do they really hate the ex-singer so they want to erase him from the previously released albums? They started this process on Diamonds.
    • "Maybe Tomorrow" by Zaza
    • The whole album is excellent, really crisp, sharp production.
