Desert Island Discs

You've been marooned on a desert island and all you managed to salvage was a Marantz CR612 CD Hifi system with custom walnut stereo speakers and a solar-charged battery to provide endless power to the hifi. 

Then, you spot a sealed, waterproof box with your handwritten label on it: "My 5 Ultimate Albums". Survival can wait. You've got plenty of time. Right now it's time to ROCK!

It would be difficult to narrow it down to just 5 and a few would undoubtedly change depending on when I made the selections.  Are you sure we couldn't fit a few more in that box if we used slim cases with just the front inserts?   At the moment I'd probably go with the following:
