I'm telling you... any band that has a hint of success... write them off at that very moment. They'll be broken forever. Simple Plan have been putting shitty songs like those two on their CDs for a while - first it was one song, then a couple on the next CD, and then a few more on the next one.

 

I fear that a song like 'Boom' may actually be the only of it's kind on this new album (meaning an actual rock song).

Hedley is a very small town of a few hundred people. It's about 2 hours East of Abbotsford. But Jacob Hoggard is from Abby, as were the original band members.

Wow, what's wrong with u guys? A great song is a great song. I hate southern rock, blues etc. as well as classic rock in general but a good song is a good song regardless of genre. Skynrd had some absolute gems.

The problem here is having a Euro band do something so distinctively American and it could never work. It's like putting nutella and cheese together in a sandwich. Separately they are great, together...hmmm no!

The same thing goes for countless non-english speaking euro bands doing covers of classic British artists like Thin Lizzy eg. Pretty Maids, Scorpions and so on. Dreadful stuff!

The new Veer Union is really good actually, miles better than their last . Cavo also have a new album but they have changed their sound completely and I don't care for it , a couple of good songs on it though

Hedley did indeed release another classic example of selling out and 100% de-rocking themselves in 2015. It was called 'Hello' and I didn't completely hate it overall (even if it is pure pop - no trace of any kind of "rock" at all). Really love two songs off the album:
