Song of the Day

I love this song.

Ticks all the boxes for me.

Guitar play through the song, power chords, stoppy bit where the music stops and the vocals continue, cool lyrics, great bridge, hooks etc etc

Awww, that's a good one. Was bugging me because the riff (or is it a 'lick'?? or a hook?) between 1secs and 26 secs reminded me of a song I loved but I couldn't remember which it was.

Finally worked it out, Keane 'Everybody's Changing' :guitar:

Loved the original, so when i picked up the Japanese version of "Promised Land" and saw there was a version with the full band i was thrilled.

I wasn't disappointed.

Lava - I Guess You Broke My Heart

A sensational ballad the mighty Toto would be proud of

As some of you may know I'm a sucker for the 80s pop stuff. Here's a good example.

I don't get this music video.

Canadian 80's pop

Idle Eyes - Tokyo Rose

I guess I should know these guys better, as they're from my city, but I was listening to that and thought they sounded more Australian than Canadian. Then when I looked them up I see they originally formed in Australia, but moved back to Canada. He must have taken some influence from Men at Work, 'cause he sounds a bit like Colin Hay.
