Orphan: First Kill. Didn't se ethe first movie, but this one seems to be a stand alone anyway. Actually a great movie with a couple of decent twists.

Day Shift. A good movie again witha  couple of unexpected developments.

Vengeance. Was pretty mid up until about 2/3 the way inand then started getting good. Twist at the end was unexpected and cool.

Yuuup!

Taika Watiti is my favourite director, at the moment, but I guess even he had to make a bad film. It did not feel like one of his films, at all.

Pinocchio was shockingly bad.
Watched it with my wife and daughter who also thought it was very poor. They like the original.
They hated the woke stuff in it, and the changes to teh story.
I just tuned out.
even Tom Hanks was average.

Thor was ok, the goats made it.

Prey was pretty good, more like the original Predator. That something so tame, cultural wise, angered people is amazing to me. They want to erase history, or at the least prevent any representation of it.

Elvis - meh, boring. Would prefer a proper Elvis biopic.

The Unbearable Weight Of Massive Talent was really good. Nic Cage at his best.

A friend of mine told me that also, and I have enjoyed em all particularly the last one... I have the new one lined up to watch at the weekend for my youngest son's birthday, he's looking forward to it.

Last movie I watched was Prey on Disney...hmmm not bad...but could've been quite a lot better...boring places and great in others. Then we watched The Crow a few nights ago..its a classic to me...one of my very favourite films...some parts have not held up well...but as a film it's still a good show.

It's on Disney+ up here in Canada, too. We, and I'm guessing the UK, don't have Hulu. That content gets picked up by Disney+.

Should I move to the Great White North. LOL Nah Michigan gets cold enough for me, and usually too cold. :whistle:It will eventually show up on one of the other streaming channels anyway. :)

The west coast never gets as cold as Michigan.

It was my son's birthday yesterday ,he had a list of films that he wanted to watch on Disney+ ,so we ended up watching Malificent , Bobs Burger movie , Thor : Love & Thunder and Lightyear. Enjoyed them for what they were..actually Thor & Lightyear were not as bad as i'd been led to believe from friends, not amazing but enjoyable.

Looking forward to Andor beginning tomorrow though,it looks excellent.

The Bob's Burgers Movie was actually pretty good. I love the series, but was skeptical that they could make a decent film. Thankfully, I was wrong.

Yeah it can quite usually be the death knell to shows...hopefully not in this case.

I watched the first episode and thought it was ok. Did you ever see the fan-made web series, also called Wednesday, on the YouTubes, years ago? That was phenomenal. The girl who played Wednesday was perfect, so maybe that's why this new series didn't interest me as much.

Hoe. Lee. Shit.

Are you fucked??

Andor is the best Star Wars thing since the Holy Trilogy! Absolutely fuckin' loved it; I immediately binged it a second time. It is everything I wanted from the Star Wars IP: good world building, cool new characters, great acting, intriguing story, and most importantly, no Jedi!

I would say finish the series. My brother-in-law wasn't impressed until halfway through, and then ended up loving it.

Rewatched Avatar before we see the new one.

I can't be bothered to revisit the first, but I'm looking forward to seeing the new Avatar.

I was distracted/not paying enough attention the first time I saw it, and as such left feeling like I didn;t really understand what it was all about.
I probably got bored fairly early.
So I committed when rewatching it. lucky it had been 12 years.
Movie was actually pretty simple, don't expect too much from the new one.
Will see it in 3D as others have told me to.

Jebus..no-one watched anything since January :)

Took my youngest Son to the cinema to see Super Mario Bros The Movie on Tuesday...really really enjoyed it...didnt think I would but I did, some nice elements that made me chuckle and I suppose it helps that I Know who most of the characters are...loved the Shy Guy & King Bob Omb parts...small but nice touches.

Then I took my two oldest Son's last night to watch John Wick Chapter 4...for me probably my least favourite of the four...I remember know one I knew having a clue what I was talking about when the 1st came out and now they all do... once again nice elements to this one and as usual the fight scenes are outrageous and the look and feel of the settings first class...just over long and drawn out as opposed to the others in the franchise ,that originality that I loved from part 1 has been consumed along time ago...but I still really enjoyed it...for what it was...an all action leave your brain at the door (I'll) kill them all(as John himself would say) by the looks they haven't left this one open at the end like the others...or have they?

    • Ehh? Is this the same content retitled, or a completely different set of live material?... there's so much wrong with this announcement: This album was previously released as a very-limited CD/DVD.  It sold out instantly.  So we went back in and did a Dolby Atmos remaster/remix of the album, and all new artwork. But CD and DVD don't support Dolby Atmos. That's not a thing. Blu-Ray yes, but not CD or DVD. ALSO - Not only will this be available on streaming platforms but we will soon be announcing the release of Vinyl, CD/DVD, and Cassette.  Yes, you read that right.  Cassette.  Oh - let's talk about the video - the BluRay video has been upgraded to 4K for this release "Upgraded to 4k"... whut? Unless it was reshot using 4K cameras (or was originally shot in 4K but simply authored to blu-ray in SDR) and is completely reauthored to support HDR, a 4K UHD release may not actually be an improvement. Boomers saying boomer things...
    • From the Michael Sweet FB page: You asked for it!  And we listened!  To Hell with the Amps, our acoustic album, is being released worldwide on May 10 to streaming services everywhere.   This album was previously released as a very-limited CD/DVD.  It sold out instantly.  So we went back in and did a Dolby Atmos remaster/remix of the album, and all new artwork.   ALSO - Not only will this be available on streaming platforms but we will soon be announcing the release of Vinyl, CD/DVD, and Cassette.  Yes, you read that right.  Cassette.  Oh - let's talk about the video - the BluRay video has been upgraded to 4K for this release.   There are so many exciting things to come with this release.  Stay tuned here and at Stryper.com We are looking forward to taking this acoustic album on the road starting May 30.
    • May I introduce a Swiss singer who is obviously not yet represented here (perhaps for reasons): Seraina Telli. I don't understand how you can make an official music video in portrait format, but I like the sound. 2015 - 2019: Leader of the metal band Burning Witches with successful European tours. She was a founding member and also co-songwriter on the first two studio albums. Since 2019, she has been touring solo and with her own band Dead Venus. 2022: Debut solo album 'Simple Talk' reaches number 2 in the Swiss charts. She toured Europe with CoreLeoni (fall 2022) and The New Roses (spring 2023). If you're interested, you can check out her YouTube-Channel.
    • The logo is cool. Somehow. And somehow not. Okay, I listened to the track, becausec I read Steve Perry (and not your text). Then the song didn't grab me at all. Then I read the rest. Then I was reassured. Then I skipped.

    • And Dans viewpoint is the one that counts at the end of the day. If he thinks something belongs on one site over the other, that is because his viewpoint. Same as if he decides a band does not belong on any of his sites. Many years ago I put forward the idea of two bands. The Donnas and Bowling For Soup as in my opinion they are both melodic pop rock who owe more to 80s hard rock than the punk genre they often get labled with. He agreed The Donnas belonged, but BFS he did not think fitted. I felt that was a fair decision based on his viewpoint. End of the day, we are all merely subjects kneeling at the altar of Dan.
    • Video for 'Travel The World'.
    • All the bands mentioned are metal bands imo. Even if they had a few songs or an album that was on the lighter side of things. It all comes down to each persons viewpoint as to what is heavy and what is not. I see the cut off line as blurred...
    • I think Perry is the second voice in a few places... not sure. But yeah, the "w/Steve Perry" is overstating things SIGNIFICANTLY. I liked some of the previously-released singles, but this one is one of the weaker efforts IMO.
