"Dead Heat" (1988) - strange mashup of buddy cop action comedies and zombie flicks. Two L.A. cops (Treat Williams and Joe Piscopo) are investigating a mysterious series of robberies when they discover the bad guys are actually zombies, created by a crooked corporation that's figured out how to re-animate the dead. Naturally, lotsa bullets (and tasteless one liners) fly in this surprisingly gory, mindlessly violent (but still quite funny) schlock flick."

This is a classic, I have had the vhs version forever!

Cool, man. I hadn't seen "Dead Heat" since it made the HBO rounds back in the day, so when it popped up on Netflix I sez "Hell yes!"... it's quality B-movie cheeze and I was pleased to see that it has held up very well, I laughed all the way thru it...

"After Porn Ends" (2010) - this documentary catches up with a wide variety of retired porn stars (male and female) to see how they're doing since they retired from "the biz." Unsurprisingly, there aren't many happy endings. Tales of drugs, abusive relationships, cancer, suicide attempts, failed marriages and alcoholism abound.

Interviewees include Houston (who should win a "Biggest Plastic Surgery Disaster" trophy at the next AVN Awards), Asia Carrera, Randy West, Richard Pacheco, the late John Leslie, Raylene, Amber Lynn, and Tiffany Million (who is now a licensed P.I./bounty hunter!), among others.

Great movie, agree with Glen, the story is not very cliche as found in many rom-com flicks. Both have interesting characters, great acting as well, and De Niro, as always, is a fantastic actor

Glad u enjoyed it. Man J Law is a hottie as well. Something about her. But yeah just a great well acted movie.

Ok First I did enjoy this movie.. Although they didn't have Peter Parker working for the Daily Bugle... Not exactly sure why, but I guess they didn't want it to be a remake of the 2002 film with Toby McGuire... If that's the case I can totally understand.. And the villain in this movie?? the Lizard was VERY well done.... Andrew Garfield is a really good Peter Parker I must say.. Different than the Toby McGuire version which is good... Now I am looking forward to part 2 coming out in May sometime....

Frankly, i think it's overrated. Seen many better thriller and Jake's character is somewhat like a dumb cop. Will be great if they put a twist to something like Jackman being a villain and not a victim, but overall not bad although it's lengthy.

Monsters University

I was apprehensive about this one, as Monsters Inc is my favourite kids' film ever and I thought this would be a huge disappointment. However, I needn't have worried, as it's a really enjoyable, funny film. It was never going to live up to the standard of Monsters Inc, but it's still better than the majority of its peers.

"Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade" (1989) - Indy's third go-round finds him on a quest for the Holy Grail and trying to rescue his estranged father (Sean Connery!) from the Nazis for good measure. Much of this flick feels like "Raiders" all over again, but it's so much fun most viewers won't mind.

"Step Dogs" (2013) - low budget talking-animal kid stuff about a pair of mismatched pooches - a hillbilly mutt and a pampered, princess Pomeranian - who must learn to get along when their masters get married. In the second half some "Home Alone" style hijinks are thrown in when the dogs must protect their new home from a pair of doofus burglars. The kids enjoyed it. I'll leave it at that.

"Stake Land" (2010) - A teenage vampire slayer in training and his bad-ass mentor travel across a post-apocalyptic America infested with bloodsuckers, searching for a rumored vamp-free zone known as "New Eden" in this gritty, gory, intense road movie. Good stuff.

Bad Boys II

Watched this for about the 100th time tonight.. I just LOVE this movie!! Better than the first one in My opinion... Will Smith and Martin Lawrence are just SO good together....

These are my favorite kind of action movies. Straight forward, some gun fire, some explosions and car chases. You don't always need cgi and special effects.

A pretty decent Asian martial arts flick by Quentin Tarantino.... I Really enjoyed this movie.. It has Russell Crowe who is excellent as always.. And Dave Bautista.... better known to WWE Fans as simply Batista who isn't bad either... If you enjoy Quentin Tarantino movies you will enjoy this.... You just have to suspend your disbelief for about 90 minutes or so....

"Dead Snow" (aka "Dod Sno," 2009)

This Norwegian comic-horror hit is kinda like a wintry take on "Evil Dead," with some added bonus Nazism. When a gang of twenty somethings head to a remote mountain cabin for some snowy vacation fun, they accidentally awaken a horde of frozen Nazi zombies that also call the mountain home. Naturally, extremely bloody hilarity ensues.

This one took a while to get going but once it did the mayhem came fast and furious. A stone cold hoot, and one of the goriest films I've seen in quite some time!!

Right?! It actually looks to be even more outrageous.

    • I was a pretty big fan. Nature Of The Beast is a killer song. Saw them with Dave Gleeson from the Screaming Jets singing and he did an amazing job, but pretty sure they have a new singer now  I recently went through the two most recent albums before this one and there were a couple of ok tracks, but mostly mid. Fun fact: I saw the Angels a couple of years before Doc died at the Middle hotel in Ferntree Gully and they seemed to hate each other. Pretty sure Doc said nothing to the crowd all night. Fun fact 2: when they were building the transit bar in Melbourne, a mate and I found a service elevator that went to the roof, which was under construction. After peeing off the roof, which is always fun, we realised that we could clearly hear the music 5 or 6 floors below from a DJ I think. He was playing Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again. We started yelling down the No Way Get Fucked, Fuck Off bit thinking we were hilarious. Then soon we noticed people looking up, and for some reason they seemed to be clearly hearing us. Another mate then called us to tell us security were on the way up the stairs so we took the service elevator down and managed to laugh it off. Stoopid drunk story I guess, but fun days.
    • Cheeky, getting your artwork in there. I wonder how you did that.  I like the vocal track on #1 and that'd be my pick. I personally don't dig the female versions of songs, because I'm not a female (yet?) and as these are songs written by ourselves I personally feel the best interpretation is an AI dude voice taking the place of your dude voice.
    • Yeah, that's great but this is obviously an accomplished musician probably completely in control of this output... not done with Suno, I'd bet. There's definitely dudes out there who are perfectly capable of doing their own music, like this dude, but for whatever reason might not be able to put a project together, again, for whatever reason... but this definitely feels a lot more like AI feeling in the missing gaps for someone otherwise in complete control of what he wants.  Either way, it is very cool indeed.  As Darkstone says, I'm not sure paying is the way to get the best results. I'm also not saying it isn't, especially with other platforms that are not Suno. I think already knowing what you're doing, musically, is the best way to get best results, personally. Suno, for example, is just perfect for someone who might enjoy writing lyrics but is not in any way shape or form an accomplished (or even adequate, lol) musician.  But yeah, it's pretty cool for some fun. I'm not sure if you checked out my links above. Keeping them pretty quiet due to lyrical content, lol, but you might dig some of the stuff in my links. 'As the moment passes by' and 'I'll wait for you' are two of my personal faves. Along with 'Faith to fall.'
    • Yeah, musically it's what you want, but vocally... Maybe Alex should take some vocal lessons from Ken Tamplin. ;}
    • Your Eyes - Darkstone (2024) Two versions of my song number 6     https://suno.com/song/e8c1e85b-21ee-4d35-a64b-e786f00944d2   https://suno.com/song/9144c77a-bd7c-49c1-9508-f724d0832fdb
    • Yep, although I was never a massive fan.
    • Yes, celebrating their fifty years. There only two original members left in the band. Dusty might agree with me the Angels died when the original singer passed away.
    • It's just not the same without the Doc though...
