The Mummy:Tomb of the Dragon Emporer - A very average movie IMO. Not horrible but nothing spectacular either.

Tropic Thunder: Special Edition - I love this movie and I can't stop watching it and this version is even better than the theatrical version IMO.

House Bunny - Average, nothing special with a few good laughs.

Step Brothers - Good but nothing great considering the cast but it did have a few good laughs but was little much on the stupid angle.

Transformers - on dvd. Crap. I tried watching twice. First time fell asleep. 2nd time justturned off half way thru. Is that the worst movie made or what? ...and I'd heard it was pretty good.

Animated or Live Action?

I love 'em both, but I can understand people not caring for the new one.

live action.

horrible i thought.

  • My Little Pony
Madagascar (the first one).

Liked this one, not seen the 2nd

I haven't seen it either. I'm sure I will though.

I didn't care at all for Madagascar. The only good part is Sascha Baron Cohen and the other lemurs.

Just saw Valkyrie. The fam liked, I thought it was okay. I really had a hard time with most of the Germans having American and British accents. Only a few were German. Why could they not shoot the film with an entirely German cast, or at least with people unafraid to pull off a German accent?

RAMBO (2008)

Just watched this for the 3rd time and I really think it ranks up there with the great action films of all time, especially if you like your action graphic & bloody; Rambo (and co-warriors) annihilate the bad guys in this one. No soft, pussified PG-13 crap here...this is hardcore carnage for hardcore action movie junkies.

Christmas Eve, while over at the annual SHK shindig, we watched Badder Santa. What a great movie!

Tonight, rented Tropic Thunder with some friends.

OMG! I don't really call too many movies outright TERRIBLE, and this really did have some good moments and some hidden gems that you had to pay attention to get, but all the shit you had to sift through to get there just made me almost sick.

(Haven't had good luck with rentals lately. Not majorly impressed with the comedies I've been seeing lately. I'm a sucker for the classics.... like the early Adam Sandler fare. :rofl2: )

    • It's ok. I think people know I am a massive Crue fan, and I like a lot of stuff by them that people hate (the Generation Swine album for example) but the only newer original song I have cared about them in recent years was The Dirt. Everything else has been either meh or crap. I did also like their cover of Like a virgin, which I know a lot of peeps didn't like, so it's not like I am just craving the good old days. I would be happy if we could get a song close to Afraid, Saints of Los Angeles or the aforementioned The Dirt. I think songs like that will be few and far between sadly.
    • Have to agree. Although my expectations were that it would be absolutely horrible like Dogs of War lol. Still far away from classic Motley Crue but I at least made it all the way through this one so that's a positive. Still nothing to write home about but at least it rocks fairly well and there's a semblance of a song there.
    • Just ordered!   All three Magic Dance EPs (Another World, Kiss Scene and Haunting Me) combined into one CD. All new artwork, lyric booklet and three bonus tracks. Silver-pressed replication CD.     https://magicdance.bandcamp.com/album/magic-dance-the-eps
    • Stumbled upon these guys on the Instagrams. Pretty good mix of Modern Rock and Metal with blazing guitars and heavy double-bass drums, and Pop Punk-style vocals.
