I had missed the Find Me news.

This is definitely fabulous news.  Now all I need are new albums from Angels or Kings and The Magnificent...

Weird album cover.  I hope him cutting his hair didn't change his writing style !   Lol

Looking forward to the first sample(s)

Just a hunch, but do you think they might go more ''digital'' or electronic with this one? Just guessing because of the album cover and title

Would be amazing if they re-recorded the Big Time track ''Good Enough'' for this one with the production it deserves.

Solid tune.

I never really got on board with the debut for some reason.  I liked a few songs but just not enough to buy it.  Could be one that I come back around to at some point.

This isn't too bad....Definitely very 80's.

I agree..really liked only 2 or 3 songs off the debut with 'Part of me' being one of the highlights of 2017. What a song!

Glen should love this, it’s like a stripped down Night Flight Orchestra. Excellent stuff, much more AOR than the debut with this track. Sounds fresh unlike many other releases out there....with a cool solo to boot.

This is oddly the last song on the record and they release it as the first single, only listened to the 30 second preview the other day and got a Toto vibe (mid 90s Tambu or their last album) in terms of sound

Still can't get into the debut, just two days ago a song (Stranger's Eyes) came up on a playlist and it starts off very promising with a breezy, beachy feel in the intro and the first verse also sounds nice. So I tell myself why didn't I love this 2 years ago when it was released, maybe I should revisit it........ then the pre-chorus kicks in and I'm like yeah, now I remember why :D I don't know, just seems ''off'' to me and the only track which was good front to back without any out of place sounding parts is ''Man Behind The Gun''

By the way here's the tracklist:

  1. Binary Music
  2. Tears Of Gaia
  3. Nothing Personal
  4. Promised Land
  5. Love Songs
  6. Dangerous Grounds
  7. Queen Of The Prom
  8. Who's Counting Time
  9. Julia
  10. To Have And To Hold

Julia is a remake of a song Michael Palace recorded with his old band Big Time, here's the original version (sorry wouldn't embed):

LMAO....I did the same thing yesterday.

Know exactly what you're talking about.....Just get a little bit of an "off" feeling with much of it.  It's just a little too Toto-ish for my tastes overall.  I'm more of a melodic hard rock guy and generally don't really care for "pure AOR" stuff like Toto, Survivor, etc.  I feel like this fits in that class for the most part.

Do like a few tunes on it though.  Man Behind The Gun is good, Part of Me is excellent....Also liked She Said It's Over.

The new song seems decent but really not expecting I'll be getting this one.

    • Maybe it's because I've heard GnR a couple thousand times by now, but I much prefer "Fall to Pieces" by Velvet Revolver over "Sweet Child o Mine" at this point in my life.
    • I'll have to investigate that Durbin. I'd count Striker and Mick Mars among the best metal releases as well now that I think about it.
    • Haven't picked up Saxon yet, but as far as metal goes, I love the new Durbin album as well.
    • I wasn’t thrilled with the singles as they came out, other than “The Serpent and the King”, but I’ll be damned if they haven’t grown on me while listening to them as part of the cohesive package that is “Invincible Shield”. I broke down and picked up the Target exclusive to get the three bonus tracks, and I enjoy them too. Overall, a damn fine addition to the JP discography. Is it better than “Firepower“? I’m not there yet, but time will tell. 🤔 This one and Saxon have set the bar pretty high for metal this year. 👍
    • Agree with this. Though I think you should check out Firepower. You can get it real cheap new everywhere. It is molten. I'm also enjoying Invincible very much and 2024 new music as a whole.
    • I remember my early days on the internet joining a group on Yahoo (yeah thats how long ago it was) and the woman who created the group was trying to persaude me how great Creed was, so much so that she sent me the first two albums on CD. I had no idea what they sounded like. When I played them all I could think is that they sounded like Pearl Jam, and I fucking hate Pearl Jam. I ended up trading them for something better. I can't remember the ins and outs of it, but I somehow shared my CD collection online and she noticed straight away that the Creed CDs were not listed. She asked me why and I said I sold them as really did not like them, and got something I did like. She never spoke to me again after that

    • I have always been an on/off fan of Priest. Loved Ram it down and Painkiller, then kinda lost interest when Rob left. Only newer albums I ever got around to picking up were Angel of retribution because I saw it real cheap and Nostrodamus as I found the deluxe edition cheap as well. With this one though I was interested in what I heard and saw the deluxe edition looked cool. I then saw they were selling copies on the JP website with a signed art card in both standard and deluxe format, but baulked at the price of the deluxe as they were charging an extra £10 over the unsigned version, and postage was lumpy ... plus I was a few days from getting paid. By the time I went back on there the signed deluxe was gone but they had the standard version with the signed card and it was the same price as the unsigned version (guess nobody was buying it) so decided to buy that and order the deluxe from Amazon, keep the artcard and sell the standard CD on eBay as it is still sealed. So yeah, been playing the album today and on my third (or is it fourth) playthrough, and absolutely loving it. When bands like Bon Jovi are  getting soft as shit with age, Rob and the guys are still full on metal gods. At 72, Rob should not be able to still perform like this, but he fucking well is, so more power to him. Really good start to the year so far with the 2024 albums I have picked up.
    • Evidently, Tichy has joined up with Gene Simmons' solo band, and the Daisies replaced him with Tommy Clufetos who'd helped them out before. Be interesting to see how much more there is to the story....
    • Been listening to this one on and off since Friday, and must say I'm VERY impressed. This is easily his best solo release in my opinion, and is much more melodic than his work with Creed. This one might just be this years equivalent to Godsmack for me personally i.e. late 90s musicians going in a more melodic direction and it working quite well!
