So what's the wash up on this album.
I admit it grew on me more than I thought it would
The songs I regard highly

2. Redefined 04:19
3. Shit City 03:51
4. Time On Our Side 03:53
5. Best Of The Broken 04:32
7. Blind Leads The Blind 03:22
8. We Rule 05:45
10. Into The Great Unknown 07:24

That's 7 songs from 10.
Pretty damn good in the end.

Got to see H.e.a.t in Chicago this past weekend....Wow, they blew the roof off the place!

Anyways, also got the chance to chat a bit with Jona and asked if there is any talk of the next album.  He said they have about 8 songs ready so far and were planning to hit the studio in the fall but that might be getting pushed back now to the spring due to a European tour.  He said they're definitely aiming to have the next album out by the end of 2019.  He said they really can't afford to take as much time off as they did with the last album as the band is the only source of income for most of the guys.

So hopefully next year at this time we're gearing up for the next album :)

I wish I could have made it, seemed like Andrew had a lot of great acts for MRF again.   I've never seen H.e.a.t., so I'm quite envious.  That is exciting news on the possibility of a new release next year, let's hope so.

Jeez that's a :lame: song, if they continue to produce stuff like this they should disappear into the great unknown and never come back .

I'm with you.  That song is terrible.

Can't say I'm caring much for Drink Alone...glad it was left off the album.  It's okay I guess as a one off type song but not anything I'll be coiming back to often.

Still love the latest album though and think it's gotten even better with time and seeing some of the songs live.

It's like a "camp fire" singing song of sorts, I'll pass.

judging by their live gigs over the last year they will be around for sometime ;)

The best in our genre by some way.

I hear a 4-Non Blondes "What's Going On?" rip-off personally.

Don't like it.

Well, fuck.
I can't unhear that now.
Still like it though...

That would be Eclipse and W.E.T. for me.

live? WET maybe close (not a real band though and doubt they will ever tour again).

I love Eclipse but theres no way they could headline over HEAT imo.

I seen both live on numerous occasions.

Never seen any of them live(probably never will), so what matters to me is songs/albums and last 3 eclipse and last 3 W.E.T. are better(by a lot) than the last 3 H.E.A.T for me. ATN is the only He.a.t album that can compete with the other 2 bands albums. Half of TDTW and a few songs on ITGU can compare to the others but that is about it. Just my taste/opinion.

But my comment was about live in reply to someone saying they would disappear soon judging on their fun single release

No one to touch them live.

    • Really like that, hope there's a new album in the works
    • Don't believe they fell out , he just joined The Sweet I think and with their blessing? Think doing it on Diamonds would have sufficed...end that chapter of the band and onto the next.
    • but then again I didn't really have high hopes on it...hopes yes...but not high if I'm honest.
    • Video for 'Change The World'.
    • Be interested to hear this...after all of this time.
    • New album 'Another World' out June 21. Press release: Atlantic was the brainchild of guitarist and songwriter Simon Harrison. Following a successful ghost-writing career and his bands Stranger and Wisht, Simon wanted to make an album in his favoured AOR/Melodic Rock genre. Heavily influenced by bands like Whitesnake, Journey, Bad English, FM and Dare he set about writing the songs that became the first album entitled ‘Power’. Atlantic was never supposed to be a long term band and following its worldwide release Simon moved on to other writing, recording, production and mix projects. In the late nineties Simon met Mark Grimmett. He recorded several songs with Mark over the following few years and they decided at some point they would make a record together. Fast forward to 2021 Mark was talking to Simon about writing and recording a new album. Originally entitled the MGB Band, work started in the fall of 2021 … By early 2022 they had written a number of songs and they both felt they would best suit a new album under the Atlantic banner. Several members of Grim Reaper were recruited to give the Album an edge, whilst retaining the essential melodic rock/Aor feel that is Atlantic. Mark Pullin, Julian D.Hill and Ian Nash were duly recruited into the band along with keyboardist Gareth David Noon from Serpentine .. The lineup was to change later in the project with Simon and Tim Bristow taking over the keyboard role and the addition of Nick Burr and Andy Margrett on lead guitar. Work continued over the next year and finally the production was completed in late 2023. Mark Pullin stepped up to mix the album after some unforeseen issues at Simon’s studio and it was completed in March 2024. Escape Music had re released the original Power album and were absolutely the first choice to work with on the new album. Their new album “Another World” will be released exclusively by Escape Music, exciting times. The band is: Simon Harrison – Guitars, Bass & Keyboards Mark Grimmett – Lead Vocals Mark Pullin – Drums, Backing Vocals Nick Burr – Lead Guitar Julian D.Hill – Bass Tim Bristow – Keyboards Gareth David Noon – Additional Keyboards / Andy Margrett – Additional Lead Guitar / Mark Pullin – Additional Lead Guitar All songs written by Simon Jewell-Harrison & Mark Grimmett Except * Co-Written by Tim Bristow. • Not a fan of Staind, but this song popped up in my YouTube feed and the lyrics just hit me right in the heart this morning.    Beautiful ballad in my opinion…
    • It's ok but at the same time not doing much for me.  To me this sounds like this could've been a modern Bon Jovi song.  If you're basically making music that sounds like Bon Jovi, why not just go back to Bon Jovi lol. As it is, Richie's solo stuff has never really grabbed me and don't see myself returning to this. Do plan to check out the Bon Jovi documentary on Hulu this weekend though
    • That chorus is much more melodic than I was expecting; not bad.
