Press release:

BREAKING NEWS: Frontiers Music Srl is proud to announce the release of “Don’t Let Up”, the new studio album from Night Ranger. “Don’t Let Up” is set for a March 24th release. The album will be available in both a standard edition and a deluxe edition (featuring bonus track and bonus DVD - physical format only).

“‘Somehow Someway’ is all Night Ranger. It not only captures the spirit of our live shows but also is the essence of who we are and who we have been for the last 35 years…a kick ass American rock and roll band…case closed,” says Jack Blades, bassist and vocalist .

Adds Kelly Keagy, drummer and vocalist, "[t]he song "Somehow Someway" is an up-tempo rocker with an infectious, big guitar lick. Take caution while you're driving in your car, you may find yourself going WAY over the speed limit. Check it out!"

"Our new single, 'Somehow Someway' is a rockin' barnburner up to the standards of our first single, "Don't Tell Me You Love Me". This could be a great song to perform live and add to our setlist....Enjoy!!" encourages guitarist Brad Gillis.

Night Ranger truly epitomizes the sound of the 80's, while at the same time transcending it. Since their reunion in 1996, they have brought their guitar heavy, melodic brand of hard rock into the 21st century with their unparalleled talent, energy, and creativity.

The new album, "Don't Let Up" was self-produced by the band.

“The “Don’t Let Up” album is the result of five musicians living and breathing rock 'n roll 24 hours a day. 35 years on and Night Ranger is once again ready to let the fans know “It’s Only Rock and Roll, but I like it,” says Blades of the new album.

Keagy adds, “Working on the material for the new album "Don't Let Up" was a great experience once again. I always look forward to creating music with Brad, Eric, Kerri, and Jack. I'm really looking forward to playing some of this material for the fans. It rocks!”

"I'm looking forward to the new Night Ranger studio effort 'Don't Let Up' as it's always a pleasure releasing new material to keep the bands creative flow. As typical for NR, we have all the elements that made us popular in the first place, including twin lead vocal tradeoffs with Jack and Kelly and dual guitar harmonies and solos with my new partner in crime, Keri Kelli. We've stacked the deck again with up tempo driving rock songs, mid tempo tunes and a few acoustic ballad tracks. We're hoping this new album will be added to your existing Night Ranger catalog!!!" enthuses Gillis.

With more than 17 million albums sold worldwide, over 3000 live shows performed, and more than 1 billion in radio audience, Night Ranger has both epitomized and transcended the arena rock sound and style of that era and beyond. With songs that have significantly impacted popular culture and continue to expand their ever-growing fan-base, Night Ranger is proof that powerful songs, plus accomplished musicians is the perfect formula for continued success.

Night Ranger has earned widespread acclaim, multi-platinum and gold album status while leaving their indelible mark on the music charts with a string of best-selling albums (Dawn Patrol, Midnight Madness, 7 Wishes, Big Life and Man In Motion), its popularity fueled by an impressive string of instantly recognizable hit singles and signature album tracks. Producing legendary hits such as “Sister Christian”, “Don’t Tell Me You Love Me”, “When You Close Your Eyes” the anthemic “(You Can Still) Rock In America”, along with "Sentimental Street", "Goodbye", "Sing Me Away", "Four in the Morning" and more.

The band was also one of the first big "video" bands, with over 10 number 1 videos on MTV.

Over the years, the band’s music has made notable contributions to and been featured in many different areas of media and popular culture. Night Ranger’s songs can be heard in TV Shows; The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, American Dad, Glee, Grey’s Anatomy, Parks & Recreation; Rock Band, Guitar Hero and Grand Theft Auto, video games; Rock of Ages hit Broadway musical and feature film; the Oscar-Nominated film Boogie Nights, Friday the 13th, Teachers, Sixteen Candles, The Secret of My Success; JBL’s "Hear The Truth” brand campaign; and many more!

NIGHT RANGER is Jack Blades (bass, vocals), Kelly Keagy (drums, vocals), Brad Gillis (lead & rhythm guitars), Eric Levy (keyboards), and Keri Kelli (lead & rhythm guitars).

That is one heck of a cut and paste promo photo of the band. Wow! I love Night Ranger but that photo is brutal.

As for the lead off track it's pretty upbeat and pure Night Ranger.

When did Joel Hoekstra leave?

Back in 14 to join Whitesnake for the Purple Album (and full time).

Sounds like classic NR which is great.

He was in the band? Really? What about Kerri Kelli? What the hell's up with that? How long and how on earth did he get in the band? What a strange as hell fit.

Yeah mate, completely agree. That is unforgivable. What does it say about they band? They can't stand together for a minute to all take a photo together? For ballsack's sake, that is pathetic. I would say that is a full five completely different photos all cut and pasted together. Complete with different lighting and all. Hate it.

Now anyway, all that said. I like the song, quite a bit. It's cool.

One of my favorite bands during my high school years in the 80's, and they have been nothing short of fabulous every single time I've seen them live.

That said, this first track is certainly better than anything from the god-awful Made In California CD, but it's still missing something. Good, not great.

I probably will not buy the new CD. I will absolutely buy tickets to see them live if they're back my way again this summer.

Weird....that solo doesnt seem to fit that song at all. Nice, but a completely different vibe.

Anyway, whilst not blowing me away i could see that being a huge grower.

I was expecting a bigger chorus after that rather nice pre (does that remind me of Bryan Adams?? Summer of 69??).

Cool tune though, I like it.

Kick ass tune. This album has "summer" written all over it. The singles so far have been very warm/uplifting which I like.

Going to be an awesome album to listen to while driving with the windows down this summer

    • Added Framing the Red over on the main site recently: Framing the Red discography reference list of music CDs. Heavy Harmonies Their website: Framing The Red Their Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/framingtheredband Their YouTube channel: (23) Framing the Red Official Page - YouTube They have four releases, and all are quite good in my opinion. If I had to describe them, I'd say this is what Gunshine would sound like if they went in a more southern rock direction.  Here are some of my favorite tracks... Crossroads   Whiskey & Weed   Holy Water   Mississippi Hippie   Heroes   Bonnie & Clyde   Rockin' Into the Night (38 Special cover)   "Crossroads" and "Heroes" are probably my two faves.  *I will give a word of warning:  if you decide to purchase any of their discs, they are barebones releases with just the CD in a cardboard slipcase. I enjoy the music enough that that's not an issue for me though.  @lettard @KarpetRydOFunk @tts42572 @AlphaMale @Dead Planet @Mr.AOR @tobi is an animal I think all of you gentlemen should give these guys a listen and see what you think.
    • H.E.A.T - 1000 Miles Vega - Hands In The Air The Defiants - Stay Issa - River of Love I'm at work right now so that's all I know off the top of my head but I'll look through my library for more when I get a chance.
    • Maybe anything by the Darkness
    • Wig wam - hard to be a rock n roller
    • Saw these guys first time a couple of years ago, when they were 16-17 years old, they are absolutely awesome. They have been touring for a few years now, performing their own songs, yet haven't released anything, until now. I have tickets to see them this saturday, opening for Mercenary. First single and video:
    • I want to compile quite an extensive playlist of hard rock songs that has a key change in the end. Why? Cause I think it sounds awesome Some well known exambles are: Bon Jovi - Living On a Prayer Wig Wam - In My Dreams Danger Danger - Don't Blame it on Love H.E.A.T - Beg Beg Beg
    • My Japan copy showed up today. I was critical of the Part I album as that one just did very little for me.  Basically, I just didn't think the songs were all that catchy and/or memorable.  I played that album a handful of times trying to get into it and gave up rather quickly which was disappointing as I loved Wired.  Maybe I just had too high of expectations or something.  I know many liked that album but for me at least, that Megalomanium I album would be ranked toward the bottom of their discography. Well, after hearing this new one, I'm feeling the opposite....Here I feel like they nailed it and I'm digging this one after the first listen.  I basically couldn't wait to start it over and listen again. The first 5 songs just come out guns a blazing with catchy, hook filled songs.  Yeah, we've heard 4 of those songs as singles but I almost purposely haven't listened to those songs much so they'd still sound fresh when the album dropped.  Then the one song we hadn't heard, All I Want, is just another upbeat, catchy tune. The 2nd half though is where things probably get more interesting.  Songs like Dive Into You and To Say Goodbye are the kinds of varied balladish/mid-tempo type songs I've been wanting Eclipse to mix things up with and there's 2 of those songs here, both very well done IMO.  Then there's a couple heavier tunes like Divide & Conquer and One In A Million that sound like stuff that could've been on Bleed & Scream.  And then a couple other melodic rockers with Until the War is Over and Pieces. I also feel like this has some of the better lyrics that Eclipse has had in awhile.  I think a lot of their material recently has been just been sort of lighter subject matter, 3 minute "simplistic" romps.  I felt Part I had a lot of that which kind of contributed to it being less interesting.  Here though, it seems like some of these songs get a bit deeper and can feel more emotion in songs like Still My Hero, Dive Into You and To Say Goodbye for example.   Anyways, where Part I is among my least favorite Eclipse albums, I'd say my early impression of Part II is that it'll be among my favorite Eclipse albums.
    • New song 'Unbreakable'.
    • Solid hard rock album. Nothing really stood out to me, but it’s solid.
    • New album 'Mysteria' out December 13th through Metalapolis Records. Tracks: Sex In Harmony Angelina (Talk To Me) Bad Dream That Night Only You Arms Around I Don’t Want To Fall In Love Mysteria Eighteen In Love If I Had You
