Grey
I just heard Hungryheart's version of Michael Jackson's "Man in the Mirror", which works pretty well as a Rock tune. That prompted me to fire up another good one - Jaded Heart's cover of NKOTB's "Larger Than Life". Any other good ones out there?

Ytseman
I think Nation's version of Waterloo is the greatest cover ever! I'd rather hear something out of left field than another cover of Sweet's Action! Jaded Heart's Help from Slaves & Masters is also fantastic. Jez
Wig Wam's cover of 'I Turn To You' was pretty damned good and much better than the original

Fat Freddy
Not sure if this one is considered "good" but it's pretty damn funny http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K84j7CJIUKU These guys have a weird sense of humor. They've also covered Poison's "Talk Dirty To Me" and Rihanna's "Umbrella"
Grey
Hungry Like The Wolf - Guild Of Ages - cover of Duran Duran I love the cover. I'm loving the rest of the CD too. I found some hq samples onlne. I'd never heard of these guys before. Amazon has the CD for $4. Cool. I'd forgot about Thunder's "Gimme Some Lovin'". Got that in my collection too. Though, I'm partial to Great White's version of it.
Nick C
I always thought The Rods cover of You Keep Me Hanging On was rather good....not sure if it can be classed a pop song as opposed to an R&B/Soul one.
All Nights Reserved
My favorite (pop) cover ever, though the vocal part remained the original one. JamesEagle
Blue Murder - Itchycoo Park Much better than the original imo, maybe my favourite cover ever. Not rock, but worthy of an honourable mention is Flotsam & Jetsam - Saturday Night's Alright (For Fighting). Another fantastic cover. Geoff
Surprised no-ones mentioned Fm - heard It Through The Grapevine Probably because it is a terrible song and there is not a band on the planet that could make it sound even listenable. As for this thread, I think it's safe to say Mike covered it thoroughly. Many, many tunes in those lists I enjoy.
