My rarest would I have to say is a local TUCSON, ARIZONA band called INNER FEAR that came out in 1992 it is silver pressed so it fits nicely in my all silver pressed quantity quality all silver pressed collection Oh a few facts on this cd 1. Only 250 were pressed 2. Me, Martinsane own 1, and one band member has 2 copies (one for sale at right price) the others ???? so would say its pretty rare, but I do own the more well known rarities such as CONCRETE JUNGLE, KIDD WICKKED, JILLSON, WHITE EAGLE just to name a few. BOY I love collecting cds!!!

I have the Innerfear CD as well. Too bad that it's rather average ... Another copy seems to be in this collection: http://www.thrashmetal.info/bands_i.htm

The rarest from my collection would be Sanctum - Believers CD.

Not a lot of real rarities in my collection, most of it is quite easy to come by. A few of the rarer titles that I own (relative to the rest of my collection) include:

CD:

Kage - State of Mind

Broken Silence - Discerning the Times

Tsunami - Tough Under Fire

Scarlet Red - Don't Dance With Danger

Safire - S/T EP

Shake The Jungle - Stick To Your Guns (Thanks to Glam Junkie)

Icon - An Even More Perfect Union (Original)

Harlequin - S/T (with Jerry Harrison from Icon)

Jezzebelle - Bad Attitude (Orig 1990 CD, not 2005 re-issue)

Hurry Scurry - Break It Up

Mindscape - Get Used To it

Vinyl:

Carmen Suite - The Gift

Whitesnake - One in a Million (fan club LP)

Cassette:

Cyclone Tracy Demo 1992

How is that Kage album? I've read that it's either glam or thrash online :S

It's actually a very awesome disc. I'd definately call it glam, though some of the songs are much heavier than most of your typical 80's glam bands. Certainly doesn't qualify as thrash, not even close.

I wouldn't say glam at all, I'd say hard rock definitely (when I think glam, I'm thinking Poison, Alleycat Scratch, etc). This is nothing like that, definitely hard rock. And their first CD is better than their 2nd.

Hi there

The rarest items in my collection are these three (and I´m counting with original records, not booltleg or cd-r compilations...)

1-Undercover - All lined up ((stemra, 1994)- Dicky Kemper of Vandemberg on vocals; great AOR/MRock smooth than the other group

2-Louis Michael - living for the music (AMI 1991)- Very good AOR a la first Mitch malloy, sometimes a little country rock

3-Cobbler & Mandoki - Mother Europe(Ariola? 1989?)-This is passed from vinyl (I think it isn´ in cd) IncredibleMRock a la B Abbot,Mothers Army...very good

I'd say my rarest CD is:

Autograph - That's The Stuff (original 1985 RCA/Victor pressing with BLUE cover)

I very rarely ever see an original blue cover one.

Also, I've read that the red cover was first and has "six string fever" but then they released the blue cover later and it has "We're An American Band" as track 6 instead of "Six String Fever". My blue cover copy has "Six String Fever" as track 6 and not "We're An American Band". If someone can shed some light on the cover and song situation that would be great.

I have the Spitfire re-issue with the red cover with 'We're An American Band' at track six, so that is another version out there. I hear Rock Candy are re-issuing 'That's the Stuff' with both tracks, so problem solved.

  • My Little Pony

Yeah, I suppose their's a difference between what's rare and what's in demand. So I'm not really sure where mine fall.

Hot Boy - Barely Legal

Intuition - Turn it On

Jillson - Deadly Girl

KK Wilde - Rock N Roll

Moriah - Mirror Man

The Babys Union Jacks and On the Edge - original Chrysalis pressings

Yeah I have all The Babys CD's on Chrysalis - I didn't realise the Chrysalis versions were rare until about a year ago.

On the matter of the Babys - I have the "Official Unofficial Babys Album" that came out a few years ago on ORK records and that's pretty rare now.

I have all the Babys too, but I have the Babys that are on One Way Records. I never realized they released Chrysalis versions. The only Chrysalis one I have is the common Anthology.

I also have the ORK CD. I bought it new a couple years ago from Amazon when it first came out.

I also have the Valentines Baby CD.

I don't know what other CDs I have that are rare.

    • So finally got around to listening to the album (still waiting for CD to arrive but at least a digital version came with the order). This is defo the best album he has released since leaving Skid Row, and is better than anything released by his former band (even the Erik fronted album). I liked his solo stuff, but he was always trying too hard to be modern and heavy, so there were very few actual stand out tracks. On here though it really is more of a throwback. While not quite classic Skid Row, it is probably as close as we will ever get, kinda sitting somewhere sonically between the first two albums. The only downside for me is the fact there is only one ballad and it doesn't even come close to the two that featured on Angel Down. Seb took a long break between this and his previous album, and I think in that time he has taken time to reevaluate what he wants to do musically. As stated earlier, even the album cover is a throwback with it being a painting his father started decades ago. Hopefully any future releases will stick to this style, and not return to the style used on his last few albums.
    • Not sure, but sounds like christian lyrics to me. And could'nt find it on HH yet. 25 years ago I would have loved this, today I'm atheist and do not listen anymore to such... explicit lyrics.
    • Spider of Destiny-Frank Zappa
    • I got it for free when I bought the Dirty Americans album. It's a cool little sampler.
    • Ha, I remember them. Good stuff.
    • Better than I expected, honestly, as GUN was never my thing.
    • Agree. Have been a fan of Halestorm and Lzzy....she's fantastic. That said though, this Skid Row thing just feels "off" to me.  She sounds fine but I think it's simply that hearing a female voice do the songs just doesn't seem right after listening to the originals for so long.   I much prefer hearing Lzzy in Halestorm.  I'd rather see her concentrate on that and also concentrate on doing new music that's more in line with their first 2 albums!
    • From memory it was recorded after the original pledge release of Beautiful things and was added as a bonus song when it became available to the general public.
