Jez
Some good, interesting Polls recently, but about time we had a few of these damned 'Poll' things for the 'Old Gits' here at HH, so will add 80-83 aswell. Some may well cringe, some may say 'Who The F**k', Some will not care, but Some (hopefully) may go and check some of these top releases out and gain a bit of listening education!!!!. Amongst these are some of my all time 'Fave' albums even after 25 + years of listening pleasure!!!!
Geoff
LOL, don't stone me Jez but I don't know a single album on this list.

Geoff
It should be noted that although it wasn't the best year for music (sorry Jez ) a very, very sexy young child was brought into the world this year. They call it the 'Year of Geoff' nowadays, don't they?
Jez
LOL, don't stone me Jez but I don't know a single album on this list. Not surprised mate. 66 mustang
It was a good year for Southern Rock with 38 Special, Blackfoot and Molly Hatchet on the list but as normal I have to go with 38.

Fat Freddy
Since there was no sign of Kiss' DYNASTY or Judas Priest's UNLEASHED IN THE EAST on this list, I went with Cheap Trick's DREAM POLICE. Cheap Trick were at the top of their game at this time.

Jez
Thought I'd put some of the lesser obvious releases on here just to see who has heard of what, plus most here are my personal faves of that year!!!. Saying that, there are some 'Genre' classics on here aswell with New England, Airborne, Axe etc. Just depends on what things you were listening to at the end of the 70's & beginning of the 80's or weather you were even born?? heaven&hell
I voted for Rush but there really isn't a whole lot of bands up there I care for. I really would of liked to see Kiss- Dynasty or AC/DC - Highway to Hell.
crycin
Angel "Sinful" , I like this band !!!! CryCin
heavyharmonies
I went with Journey's Evolution, although Styx's Cornerstone was a close second. However, had Foreigner's Head Games been on the list, it would have had my vote... -Dan

2023 Gold Donors headbanger4life Posted April 23, 2006 2023 Gold Donors Report Share Posted April 23, 2006 I was only 9 to. But I did listen to the radio a lot. I used to get scolded by my mom for changing all her pre-set oldies/doo wop stations to all the local rock stations. From what I knew of, I liked Styx, Journey, Molly Hatchet and .38 Special, but Cheap Trick is the one I remember most of all.
Chris
I went with Rush- Permanent Waves
Li§a
hey... who you calling "old" ?? Cheap Trick vote from the west coast!
Nick C
Flippin heck....why not make it easy for me!!!!! Classic album piled upon classic album there, but with my little twisted way I voted for Aviary (even though I got into them sometime after bands like Axe and Saga) just because I like it's weirdness, plus it's just a top album that gets tons of plays still.
