Stopped into the supermarket on my way to work this AM to pick up some DayQuil (damn pesky head cold!) and while I was there I quickly rooted through the bargain DVD bin... picked up the special edition DVD of "Undercover Brother" with Eddie Griffin for a mere $3.99. Sweet!

SAW III (Unrated/Blu-Ray)--being the new recipient of a PS3, I am looking to start upgrading some of my favorite DVDs to Blu-Ray, and what better place to start than with my favorite modern horror franchise; even better, my favorite entry in this horror franchise. Even better, FYE had a used copy for half the cost of a new one. Score!

DEATH RACE (Unrated/Blu-Ray)--a beefed-up remake of the old 70s action B-movie classic, this is one of those fun films where you check your brain at the door, sit back with a big ol' tub of popcorn, and just watch badasses in even badder cars annihilate each other. The snappy direction, crazy car stunts, and plethora of bloody carnage should make just about any action-flick fan jump up and run around in circles chasing their tail with glee.

28 WEEKS LATER (Blu-Ray)--my 2nd Blu-Ray purchase after receiving a PS3 for Chistmas. Haven't watched it yet to see how good the picture is (though if it's like the other Blu-Rays I've watched, it'll be outstanding) but I've seen the movie a few times so I know it kicks all kind of ass. Any hardcore horror fan who hasn't seen this film by now is missing out on a bloody good flick.
