I think Yngwie has 2 great 5-star albums (Trilogy, Odyssey) and 6 really good ones (Rising Force, Marching Out, Eclipse, Seventh Sign, Magnum Opus, Perpetual Burn). The others have their moments, but are real spotty for me.

I'm a huge NR fan and I 100% agree with this statement.

I don't think its as cut and dry as the 2 choices would suggest. Yngwie was an innovative guitarist at one time. He's made some really great records, but during the 90's and '00's he's painted himself in a corner producing music that either has horrible production, is very samey, or both. I still have hope he has another great album in him. Perpetual Flame is pretty close, IMO.
