Never take people's musical tastes for granted mate, This is very 80's style hard rock stuff, so no surprise really why we shouldn't like it. Compared to some of the other more modern 'Stuff' you listen to, this is excellent. I checked out some tunes, liked them, so bought the CD. Some filler on here, but overall very good indeed.

Not impressed with it..been done before by a helluva lot better bands.

Maybe 18 years ago, but there haven't been many CDs this good in the last 18 years and for me that counts for a hell of a lot.

 

I think the main reason I'm surprised people like Jez and the like are trying it out is because it's basically the kind of commercial hard rock that made bands like Poison awesome back in the day. That's why I wasn't overly surprised to hear Tim (2) dislike it, 'cause I know that's not his scene and I thought others felt the same.

Glad you like it and from what ive seen here at HH you're not alone..but there are of plenty of bands who have been playing solid hard rock consistently all these years that were just not lucky enough to get a deal...

In 1990 Poison were amongst the best commercial hard rock bands in the world.

 

In 2008 Hinder is the best commercial hard rock band in the world.

 

Overdoing it or not, I'd not have a problem putting this new Hinder album into the best 10 or 20 albums I've heard released in the last 18 years. But to each their own. We both know we'd have very different lists as I'm sure there would be a Pride Of Lions in your top 20 and I'd put Kelly Clarkson before those guys (somewhere in the very high thousands).

 

Anyway, onto subject:

 

21 Guns - 'Nothings Real' ; Jeez it's a slap in the face of Solli to put him on the same album as that angel, Tom La Verdi. Where did his heavenly voice go? This album is pretty damn poor, btw.

Guns N' Roses - 'Chinese Democracy' ; Up to the third song and it's not exactly a gem, but not bad so far. I'll be surprised if there's anything amazing on this, but might be a decent listen. Bucketface is sure ripping some shit up.
