I'm digging this. Very 70s/80's.

I lasted 33 seconds before shutting it off. That has all the musicianship of a chimpanzee fucking around with Pro Tools. This guy's lyrics are below the level of atrocious. For example, give a read to this slice of fluff from another of his lame tracks:

"You can count on me like one two three

I'll be there

And I know when I need it I can count on you like four three two

You'll be there

'Cause that's what friends are supposed to do, oh yeah"

Talk about yer shit aimed at the lowest common denominator. You couldn't pay me to listen to anything that little shit sings over a backing track puked out of a computer. Precisely what's wrong with what the industry tries to pass off as music today - zero musicianship.

personally I think its one of the best pop songs of the last 10 years. Absolutely love it.

Glen, I knew you had it hidden somewhere.

Good taste that is... ;)

Nice choice. Best song on that album... love it. There's something I just really like about this band, even if they don't blow my mind with every song. But a compilation of their 10 best songs would be nothing short of absolutely outstanding.

Just one other thing. The guy plays drums, piano, guitar and bass.

Just for the record ;)

Nope. It's Pop music, which means it isn't real, which means it's inherently shit.

I think you left out pianosaurus. I doubt the little turd's name comes up whenever actual musicians sit around discussing people with proficiency on any of those instruments.

A lot of names wouldn't come up. That doesn't prove/disprove anything.

As i said before just look on you tube...all the evidence u need.

Seems v odd to hate on someones talent just because its not a style of music you like.

Precisely my thoughts.

What I've been saying for what feels like an eternity.

I stated his lyrics suck and that truly lousy song sounded like shit, and I have zero interest in anything he does because I find what he produces to be pure garbage. So because I don't like his crappy music, and don't find what he does to be remotely pleasurable to my ears, you take the politically correct stance that I'm "hating on someone's talent because I don't like their style of music". Wrong. It's the music itself, as well as the style I don't like. In my opinion, I'd rather listen to artists I feel are much more talented, and actually play things in genres that don't annoy the hell out of me. My opinion - I don't like him, and his crappy music. You have your own opinion, but to carry on as if people have to appreciate shit you happen to like simply because you like it is just another shining example of the pretentious bullshit you level against those daring to disagree with you. If that's something that bothers you, well, tough shit. I'll continue to offer my opinion on things I like and dislike, and again, if you don't like it, too bad. I really don't need your endorsement on anything anyway, so spare me the high and mighty opinion of your taste and lofty opinion of yourself. Your clique members might buy your holier-than-thou attitude. I don't. I'm just too old school to give a good goddamn about a-holes, who think they know it all, and expect everyone to see things from their self-righteous point of view.

Lol.

You stated zero musicianship which is just plain wrong mate. Live with it.

You also called him a little shit which seems a tad harsh to me.

You started this with your totally over the top reaction - a simple 'i dont like it' will do in future and then no one gets offended.

:)

Anyway, finally had a song of the day to share after a desert of recent listening decisions;

Not my cup of tea, but I don't feel compelled to lose my shit because someone posted the song.

I'm sure he's a nice enough guy, and he's a hell of a lot more talented than me in every way musical :)

    • Added Framing the Red over on the main site recently: Framing the Red discography reference list of music CDs. Heavy Harmonies Their website: Framing The Red Their Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/framingtheredband Their YouTube channel: (23) Framing the Red Official Page - YouTube They have four releases, and all are quite good in my opinion. If I had to describe them, I'd say this is what Gunshine would sound like if they went in a more southern rock direction.  Here are some of my favorite tracks... Crossroads   Whiskey & Weed   Holy Water   Mississippi Hippie   Heroes   Bonnie & Clyde   Rockin' Into the Night (38 Special cover)   "Crossroads" and "Heroes" are probably my two faves.  *I will give a word of warning:  if you decide to purchase any of their discs, they are barebones releases with just the CD in a cardboard slipcase. I enjoy the music enough that that's not an issue for me though.  @lettard @KarpetRydOFunk @tts42572 @AlphaMale @Dead Planet @Mr.AOR @tobi is an animal I think all of you gentlemen should give these guys a listen and see what you think.
    • H.E.A.T - 1000 Miles Vega - Hands In The Air The Defiants - Stay Issa - River of Love I'm at work right now so that's all I know off the top of my head but I'll look through my library for more when I get a chance.
    • Maybe anything by the Darkness
    • Wig wam - hard to be a rock n roller
    • Saw these guys first time a couple of years ago, when they were 16-17 years old, they are absolutely awesome. They have been touring for a few years now, performing their own songs, yet haven't released anything, until now. I have tickets to see them this saturday, opening for Mercenary. First single and video:
    • I want to compile quite an extensive playlist of hard rock songs that has a key change in the end. Why? Cause I think it sounds awesome Some well known exambles are: Bon Jovi - Living On a Prayer Wig Wam - In My Dreams Danger Danger - Don't Blame it on Love H.E.A.T - Beg Beg Beg
    • My Japan copy showed up today. I was critical of the Part I album as that one just did very little for me.  Basically, I just didn't think the songs were all that catchy and/or memorable.  I played that album a handful of times trying to get into it and gave up rather quickly which was disappointing as I loved Wired.  Maybe I just had too high of expectations or something.  I know many liked that album but for me at least, that Megalomanium I album would be ranked toward the bottom of their discography. Well, after hearing this new one, I'm feeling the opposite....Here I feel like they nailed it and I'm digging this one after the first listen.  I basically couldn't wait to start it over and listen again. The first 5 songs just come out guns a blazing with catchy, hook filled songs.  Yeah, we've heard 4 of those songs as singles but I almost purposely haven't listened to those songs much so they'd still sound fresh when the album dropped.  Then the one song we hadn't heard, All I Want, is just another upbeat, catchy tune. The 2nd half though is where things probably get more interesting.  Songs like Dive Into You and To Say Goodbye are the kinds of varied balladish/mid-tempo type songs I've been wanting Eclipse to mix things up with and there's 2 of those songs here, both very well done IMO.  Then there's a couple heavier tunes like Divide & Conquer and One In A Million that sound like stuff that could've been on Bleed & Scream.  And then a couple other melodic rockers with Until the War is Over and Pieces. I also feel like this has some of the better lyrics that Eclipse has had in awhile.  I think a lot of their material recently has been just been sort of lighter subject matter, 3 minute "simplistic" romps.  I felt Part I had a lot of that which kind of contributed to it being less interesting.  Here though, it seems like some of these songs get a bit deeper and can feel more emotion in songs like Still My Hero, Dive Into You and To Say Goodbye for example.   Anyways, where Part I is among my least favorite Eclipse albums, I'd say my early impression of Part II is that it'll be among my favorite Eclipse albums.
    • New song 'Unbreakable'.
    • Solid hard rock album. Nothing really stood out to me, but it’s solid.
    • New album 'Mysteria' out December 13th through Metalapolis Records. Tracks: Sex In Harmony Angelina (Talk To Me) Bad Dream That Night Only You Arms Around I Don’t Want To Fall In Love Mysteria Eighteen In Love If I Had You
