lol, I'm not sure there was any part in my statement where I compared what the two parties did. I merely used Watkins as the example of the worst possible thing a musician could do, yet it doesn't taint the music, for me, personally.

Not sure there was anywhere in my piece where I compared being a pedophile to being a non-thinking covid zombie, though. ;) I view Bach and Snider and ill-informed pathetic sheep that I can no longer conjure up an ounce of respect for, but I wish them no harm. I never really got to the gory details of what Watkins did, but his actions are of a criminal nature and if I understand it all correctly he should probably be deceased now for all I'd care.

I spose you would have a different perspective if you had actually lost someone to Covid or been through a life threatening disease, but hey ho, you do you.

No, mate. Covid isn't the first thing that can cause illness, nor will it be the last. Fact of the matter is that I don't care one single bit about what one other individual wanted to do with or for themselves about covid (even if I admittedly don't have a high opinion of mask wearers, but it is their choice to be a gronk).

And by the same token, anyone who didn't want to participate in the shit show should have always have been free not to do so. My problem with Bach and Snider is their "kill the non-believers" type stance.

The three albums Skid Row did with Bach are amongst my all time favorites; but outside of a few ok songs on Angel Down, neither Bach nor Skid Row have done anything I cared for since Bach was fired. This new song however sounds good and I'm liking it more than anything off the recent Skid Row album.

Assuming you don't mind the climate crisis/global warming message, that songs rocks pretty good. The album is shaping up to possibly be Bach's best solo effort to date.

To be fair, I've found most of Bach's solo stuff to be pretty good, some of the ballads have been killer.

Kinda wish he'd give up on the Skid Row sooking. They don't like you dude. Why would you want to go back there?

Looking forward to Myles Kennedy collabs

I didn’t watch the video. But, I hear it about once a week at work. Just heard it again today. Too much suppression or something. Not horrible. Just sounds a little muffled on the vocals only. Unless that’s what he was going for.

I just went and watched the video and it sounds much better than the version I hear streamed online. I wonder if the Metal Shop Rocks a crappy copy?

Haven't been much into Bach's solo stuff but a couple of the songs sound pretty good.

That last one definitely rocks.....good stuff.

Really shaping up to be his best work since the split with Skid Row. Glad he is going back to the well rather than continuing on the path of modern heavy metal he has done on the last few releases.

For me, kind of a meh album with a few good moments.

Have to say I do really dig Hold The Dream....among my favorite songs this year.  Bach absolutely kills it in that song and there's some nice hooks in that one.  That one gives me some Skid Row vibes for sure.

What Do I got To Lose is also pretty decent and catchy.

Outside of those two songs though, not much pulling me in.  Freedom and Future of Youth are okay but the rest is doing very little for me.

Bach can still sing and there's some killer guitar and drum work throughout.  The album does "rock".  I'm just not finding the songs to be very interesting, catchy, or memorable.  Hold The Dream easily sticks out as the best song on it for me.

Honestly though, even after all this time, all I can think about as I listen to this is that I'd love to hear him back doing an album with Skid Row.  I know it's been 30 years and it isn't happening lol.  But still can't help thinking about it.  It's like having a jelly sandwich without the peanut butter....just feels like something is missing lol.

    • Yep, cracking indie release of which there are so many but this one is actually really good.
    • I have been a Band Maid fan since their early days (2015) as I really don't mind foreign vocals as long as the music is great, but I always kinda avoided Babymetal as I saw a video of them once and really wasn't impressed with the kiddy vocals, so never gave them another chance. Fast forward to now and on the back of the collab with Electric Callboy I have decided to give them a go. I thought they had a huge discography as they have like 25 albums, but on closer inspection it is only four studio albums and 21 live albums. As I am not a fan of live albums anyway, I decided to buy the four studio albums as they are all quite cheap. Have to say there music is a mixed bag, but overall really enjoying a lot of it. Not sure if I just picked the wrong song to start with, or if it is just that I have adapted more due to getting into a lot of weird and wonderful foreign bands over the last few years, but I am glad I finally gave them a proper go. Have to say, if this song was sung in English I think they would have a lot of fans on here
    • Babymetal - Metal resistance Babymetal - The other one
    • Enjoyed their last cd "Human Nature" remind me of a mellower Black Stone Cherry, similar to Little Caesar.
    • BlackRain - Hot Rock Time Machine Lee Aaron - Bodyrock
    • Now theres a blast from the past  I'm lucky enough to possess
    • Another i'm still awaiting the arrival of...same day release/delivery my arse Amazon  Still this is sounding like their best release thus far...they are gaining and getting better...although I did enjoy the last few albums also...but the sound/production from this one is excellent.
    • Still awaiting mine to arrive...should've been on Weds  or according to my order that was the case anyway
    • Yeah, there is a definite push on the re-releasing of their stuff this last wee while by them for some reason.
    • Interesting interview here with Bach...the last two questions/answers in particular in reference to Skid Row/Reunion etc... https://www.loudersound.com/features/people-vs-sebastian-bach-and-seb-bach-vs-the-world?utm_campaign=socialflow&utm_content=classic-rock&utm_source=facebook.com&utm_medium=social&fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAAR2covrZvC9xSCBo0aqMdrb-qU1nfty_0b2EgkjXEJqky4jjjmEmNgnexj4_aem_AfoqfDFTPTSA8jlGrk7iVQzRORYpdsVqIjxpoIw9cPMFfOzUewS_2NC855to5qWjvm9Df9MxCY4AIaJk3EeZH0xk
