Easily one of my faves from the album, and yeah, very cool kind of emotive 80's film clip. Love that kind of shit. :)

Probably not. I bookmark tracks i really like in to a playlist which i listen to on random when i want to listen to something great. No tracks made it on to that playlist from this album. I'll only spin an entire album again if three quarters or more tracks make it in to my favourites from it.

It seems like you have set an extremely high bar then, there are some awesome songs on this album imo

I agree.

At this point almost half way through the year, it's my favorite favorite studio release so far this year.

For me, this album takes me back to to all the reasons I started getting into this genre to begin with.

Yeah i do have a high bar. I can see why it is peoples favourite studio release of the year so far. It is the best release i've heard so far but it is a weak year so far and just because it's the best so far that isn't a reason to carry on playing it if it doesn't reach the standards i'm looking for.

New video released...Really like this tune. It's a good change of pace in it's placement on the album and reminds me a bit of Hysteria by Def Leppard in it's structure.

Good ballad! A total 80's power ballad

Yeah, that chorus is huge! Hmm ... may need to investigate further...

  • 2 months later...

The debut album still is getting heavy play by me and remains squarely among my favorite releases this year.

It's a little odd...It's not really a knock your socks off type of album but I just find it to be solid from top to bottom and it falls right in my wheelhouse of melodic rock tastes with obvious influences from the 80's rock scene. I think I also have taken to the guys in the band from reading various interviews and following along on social media. I like their old school approach as they've basically done this all themselves with no management or label helping them.

I definitely don't see many young US bands putting out this type of music these days. Hoping these guys can catch some breaks.

Good stuff... would really have been super if they'd let me cut the weakest 5 songs from it and release it as a 10 track album.

So, I saw you just sold out your M-Pre Party. Well done. I wish I could have been there. Would love to see Station, again.

I don't know if I'll ever be able to make it out, again, but I'm still grateful for you getting me in years ago.

Anybody hearing anything about new material from these guys? I get the feeling there could be a new EP or album sooner rather than later....

I follow them a bit and they've been playing 3 or 4 new songs in some of their live sets....one called All You Need Is A Heartbeat that I really like...

And it sounds like they have a lot of other material from interviews...So hopefully something surfaces...

    • I wonder what control they have over the releases? That have promoted the BMG individual releases. The 2009 reissues were by original label, EMI. And this boxset seems weird being issued by Cherry Red. And I have not seen the bands social media promote it at all. I wonder if the reason the BMG ones were lacking in the bonus tracks from the previous reissue was EMI holding onto the rights, but have now allowed Cherry Red to release them. I know EMI used to be the distributer for Cherry Red, so they may be more forthcoming with the material.
    • Yep, cracking indie release of which there are so many but this one is actually really good.
    • I have been a Band Maid fan since their early days (2015) as I really don't mind foreign vocals as long as the music is great, but I always kinda avoided Babymetal as I saw a video of them once and really wasn't impressed with the kiddy vocals, so never gave them another chance. Fast forward to now and on the back of the collab with Electric Callboy I have decided to give them a go. I thought they had a huge discography as they have like 25 albums, but on closer inspection it is only four studio albums and 21 live albums. As I am not a fan of live albums anyway, I decided to buy the four studio albums as they are all quite cheap. Have to say there music is a mixed bag, but overall really enjoying a lot of it. Not sure if I just picked the wrong song to start with, or if it is just that I have adapted more due to getting into a lot of weird and wonderful foreign bands over the last few years, but I am glad I finally gave them a proper go. Have to say, if this song was sung in English I think they would have a lot of fans on here
    • Babymetal - Metal resistance Babymetal - The other one
    • Enjoyed their last cd "Human Nature" remind me of a mellower Black Stone Cherry, similar to Little Caesar.
    • BlackRain - Hot Rock Time Machine Lee Aaron - Bodyrock
    • Now theres a blast from the past  I'm lucky enough to possess
    • Another i'm still awaiting the arrival of...same day release/delivery my arse Amazon  Still this is sounding like their best release thus far...they are gaining and getting better...although I did enjoy the last few albums also...but the sound/production from this one is excellent.
    • Still awaiting mine to arrive...should've been on Weds  or according to my order that was the case anyway
