yeah friend, too bad they're on Street Symphonies record, the price is way too expensive with the shipment price. I'm dying to buy Skull Daze's killer disc from them but just not willing to pay that amount, well better wait for discount, hopefully Christmas sales comes soon this year :christmas:

The music sounds great, but those vocals are way too low and bland, it reminds me of what my cassettes sounded like when they were on the fritz and the music sounded like it was dying off in slo-mo.

This sounds great!

Got a sneaky listen to this one and it's pretty good. Reminds me of a more subdued Crashdiet or Crazy Lixx. Definitely still not in the league of either of those two bands, but this is a good start. If the choruses are a little more explosive on album number two they could make a go of it. Still, good debut, and great production job too. :)

i kinda agree on the vocal part. Somehow it reminds me of clean version of Axl Rose meets Scott Weiland, fits in a modern rock or alternative band, but the solo is very Slash-y, love it, overall I guess, a solid start for them :party421:

Got it in the mail today and I'm definately impressed! Agree with Geoff on them not being in the same league as Crazy Lixx or Crashdiet yet, but for a couple of young guys who've been together for only about two years this is very good stuff. Recommended!

And yeah, Martin Sweet seems to become a damn good producer as well, nice job!

i guess we can't compare them to Crashdiet right now since I guess Martin Sweet is their mentor and guru, probably in 2-3 years, if they're consistent, they might leap to the premier league.

Just checked out the sample again yesterday, and another songs, "Shaded" and "Mistreated", both kicks some serious ass! :headbanger:

These guys have a new song out (digital only). They've changed direction quite significantly and now embrace modern elements as well, but I still like what I hear from that sample. Seems like they've signed with Warner!

Hopefully Warner will reissue the debut.

I don't really care, but this just turned me into a very angry person. I just wanted to hear the new song but everywhere I turned the internet is a massive c*nt. So I haven't heard it yet, but the new direction sounds exciting. The debut was nice but extremely safe... would love to hear them spice it up a little. I also have not been able to find a hard copy of this one either... :(

Never heard this band before and wish I hadn't bothered. Really loved the songs from the debut, so I went onto to Street Symphonies Records and they've sold out. It's a 2010 release, FFS! How many did they press? Make some f***ing more!!! :angryfire:

So ... anyone up for doing me a copy?

:D

Heaps better than anything from the debut. It does have a more modern sound but it's 100% better. Heavier and much more "exciting" than the solid but plain debut. I would LOVE to hear a new album all in this style.

Debut. Cop

I'll pick up both releases if I ever see them for a reasonable price....

Good luck with that!

Seriously though, can anyone send me a copy or a link to somewhere I can download the debut? I can't find it anywhere, without having to download some utterly pointless software I don't want... :crying:

BTW, I'll happily pay a few quid for the trouble if someone could send me a copy of this. I assume there's nothing illegal about it, as the CD is impossible to find...? Can't pay much as I'm broke, but I can manage a small fee...

    • Glad to hear that you and your family are safe Whiplash ,just sounds so terrible what you are all going through,my thoughts are with you.
    • Looks like I've got a bit of catching up to do. I've been absent from the forums, and mostly listening to the classics.
    • It's not a lack of response, it's an actively negative response. They appear to be blocking people and other organisations from sending aid. Really strange.
    • Glad you're okay, @whiplash1972. I can't imagine what that must be like.
    • If you go to the "edit song details" menu, you can edit the displayed lyrics ( handy to get rid of ugly brackets and prompts ), change the song title and change the thumbnail image.  You'd be able to do that to your tracks as well I think. Create a playlist for each of your albums and use your album covers as the images for your playlists.  They present pretty well on suno. The below link is for my playlist.    As for the vocals, I don't mind having female vocals on some of my tracks. As you mentioned earlier, I have absolutely no musical expertise whatsoever when it comes to instruments and I cannot sing for shit. I sort of think that it's like someone writing a song and then giving it to an Artist, Male or female, to interpret it musically. Think Desmond Child writing for Bon Jovi and also Joan Jett, or great songs by Jeff Paris being recorded by Vixen. Am I comparing myself to Desmond Child and Jeff Paris when it comes to songwriting talent? Hmmm... yes,  I think so.       https://suno.com/playlist/1581a017-9d55-4b0f-8ea8-555aa5b11d00
    • Good safe and well with the footage I've seen on news here in Australia it must be scary.
    • I can tell you that at the very least, there are people from FEMA working with some of the local businesses (my employer included) as far as looking at what aid is available to them. On the flip side, I've heard that one of the FEMA directors "got an attitude" with a few folks in the Asheville area and got popped in the mouth. I can't confirm that, just a story that's making the rounds.
    • Glad you and yours are ok Mike. There's been a lot of buzz on social media about the LACK of response from FEMA and the current admin. Have you seen or heard anything on the ground one way or the other?
    • Not sure if anyone has noticed my absence over the last 10 days, but I've only been able to sign in a few times from work over the course of that period. As some of you may know, on Friday, September 27th, Hurricane Helene slammed into western North Carolina and absolutely devastated this area, leveling entire towns in its path. In my 52 years on this planet, I've never seen destruction like this with my own eyes.  While my home and property were spared any major problems, our road looked like a damn warzone with all the trees and powerlines down. We were literally trapped like rats in a maze for several days, as even though some good samaritans were able to cut their way through the downed trees so we could leave the neighborhood, all roads leading out of this area were closed off, either due to trees and lines down, or due to flooding.   I was out of work for six days, as my employer had no power. We had no power here at the house for 9 days, with it being restored late yesterday evening. We lost several hundred dollars worth of food that thawed out from our fridge and freezers. No hot water after day one, no cell signal for several days, no stores or restaurants open for several days... If it sounds like I'm complaining, I assure you, I am not. I am grateful. My family and friends are blessed, as we're all pretty much back up and running now. While there was some severe flooding here in Morganton just around two miles from my house, overall, it was MILD around here. Once you drive a mere 20 miles up the road to a little town called Old Fort in McDowell County, and everything west from there, it is exponentially worse. Huge chunks of Asheville under water, Chimney Rock literally wiped off the map, Spruce Pine damn near wiped away, small towns with no communication to the outside world with people struggling. It is BAD here in Western NC, and it's going to take a LONG time for things to get back to some semblance of normal for ALOT of people.  I just felt the need to post and let anyone who might have noticed I was MIA that I am fine, but that alot of good people are not. Please keep western North Carolina in your thoughts and prayers, and if that's not your thing, drink one for all of us tonight. Here are a few links that I've shared over the last week on FB that show the devastation around here... https://fb.watch/v331QebVRJ/ https://www.facebook.com/100067755911039/videos/1069274148086583/ https://www.facebook.com/share/p/ER9b6tv8oj84QuWb/ https://www.facebook.com/share/p/9MpnKZUAx4m5oy3y/ All these aerial shots are from around 1-2 miles from my house: https://www.facebook.com/share/v/vux5WpAqeMDcNMhS/ https://fb.watch/v33x13dnTf/ https://www.facebook.com/share/p/V6RPz7HiiMhrBsfn/ https://www.facebook.com/share/p/vvEuMCm7We6fitZ9/ https://www.facebook.com/share/v/jE1utxkfNLeKEM9S/ Park Rangers in Chimney Rock managed to get the flag raised up again...
