  1. Have always been a fan of Vandenberg (both his playing and his various projects). Seems to be a lot of haters out there who believed he should never have been in Whitesnake but I'm not one of them. Looking forward to this one.
  2. They'll be labeled country rock but they certainly bring out the rock vibe. I agree with Howdy. Sounds pretty good to me. Sure I would prefer another melodic rock release from Laine but I certainly don't fault the guy for chasing the dream.
  3. If and when you catch up on things, do check out Social Code. As I mentioned, I always felt they had a similar sound to Cauterize.
  4. I've heard of a few of these bands, like/love several others and will (time permitting seek out some of the others listed). My faves are Every Avenue, Boys Like Girls, Friday Night Boys, Sparks the Rescue and Boys Will Be Boys but none of them sound like Cauterize, who I really like as well. They are all slick, polished, melodically modern bands but none of them utilize the same aggressive vocal delivery Cauterize does. I haven't heard Hit the Lights. Check out another Canadian band called Social Code (especially their s/t release) who remind me of Cauterize.
  5. Just a young, dumb kid with money to burn. He really could use a proper mentor to guide him along from here on out.
  6. So what does everyone else think of this lineup? Friday: Stan Bush, Work of Art, Adriangale, Johnny Lima, Maxx Explosion, Faith Circus, Crossing Rubicon, 7th Heaven Saturday: HEAT, Mitch Malloy, LRS, Mecca, Lost Angeles, Paul Laine, Loud Lion, House of Shakira, Talon, Romeo Riot Sunday: The Poodles, Guardian, Heaven's Edge, Shooting Star,Tango Down, Bombay Black, Grand Design, Degreed, The Radio Sun Tommy Laverdi is one of my favorite vocalists of all time and his new project with Shotton and Ramos sounds amazing!!! Bucket list to see him perform live! Mitch Malloy, Paul Laine and Adriangale are all personal faves of mine, too. Very impressive lineup imo.
  7. Lazy cash grabs. I have them but it's usually an artist I'm marginally interested in whose back catalogue doesn't pack enough decent tunes for me to buy the original release. Or it's an artist I really dig and they have at least one new track, some soundtrack inclusions or a few rare songs or demos previously unreleased on it. Totally agree about live versions of hit songs or updated reimagined versions such as Shout at The Devil '97. Piss off!
  8. Would love to know where, too. I tried ordering it at lynammusic.blogspot.ca but it appears as if they only ship within the U.S.
  9. Fantastic lineup there at least from my perspective. Danger Danger is one of my all time favorites so the inclusion of them with all five original members is crazy good! Wish Plunkett wasn't out of the picture for the Autograph set but I suspect they will still bring it with Daniels. Firehouse: always fantastic and they are playing the debut from start to finish: killer!!!! Love Coney Hatch, B.A.D.and BnB, too. Really hoping Andrew can steal a few of these bands for MRF4. Chicago is infinitely more accessible for me. So it is the Canadian Blvd and not the Euro band playing FF?
  10. Love that song. Really hoping this ep will be a physical release.
  11. Off topic, that is one of my all time favorite movies! You and me, both I count that one amongst my faves, too. I picked up Stephen Lang's Avatar figure just because of his role as Party Crasher. I remember Michael J Fox stating in an interview about how they all expected the Hard Way to be a runaway blockbuster and had only mild expectations for Doc Hollywood and yet the reverse occurred. The Hard Way is must see viewing for those who have yet to see it!
  12. So of the two bonus tracks on the UK and Japanese versions which one do you guys prefer? Was bad enough back in tha day having to pay through the ass for the Japanese import to obtain the one or two bonus tracks they offered over the domestic release but with multiple bonus track versions... Flogging a dead horse, I know.
  13. Wish I could have checked out the Moorehead show but I just got back from seeing the Cult in Vegas. Still hoping they do a proper romp through Western Canada. Could you let us know if they are selling physical copies of their Start @ One disc at these shows? Thanks.
  14. I gleaned most of my info from the Bands on the Rise section and the page dedicated to rock news in Metal Edge and ads from companies like Wildside Imports which were placed in Record Collector or Goldmine. They gave a slight description for most of their upcoming releases that included mentioning the members' former bands.
  15. I like HIM. Haven't really kept up with anything beyond Venus Doom but will lend these songs my ear after work.
  16. Gonna try & grab this one at a fair price. Really like this band but the last few outings haven't blown me away. The thought of this one measuring up to their first two is very promising.
  17. I agree with Mullethead. Sounds like a natural progression coming off Forevermore. Cool song on its own & I anxiously await a full album's worth going forward.
  18. I would prefer to shop locally but they either don't have the titles I'm after or have greedily priced themselves out of the market.
  19. I'm looking at grabbing a few Marvel titles I could never afford as a punk kid (cover price woulda been 35-75 cents so bronze/silver age?). Anyone know of any reputable online comic stores they would recommend?
  20. Agreed. I remember ordering it from Wildside Imports about 6 or 7 years after it's release date (never you it even existed) and it instantly became my favorite purchase that year. While I liked Buzz, I was really hoping it would match My Attitude in its awesomeness!
  21. I think Lynch is an under appreciated guitarist & Richards is a great drummer so it's cool to see them back along with Rand. But Autograph/Plunkett are one & the same. Unless Plunk is penning the tunes & Daniels can do a dead on Plunk live & in studio, it ain't Autograph. Doesn't mean it can't be decent in a Mason-Warrant way though. I'll check it out.
  22. Autograph will start rehearsing in October for some live shows to be announced later. It is true that the keyboardist passed away a couple years ago. Autograph and Night Ranger used keys to enhance thier music better than any 80's - early 90's band in my opinion. Oh.. one other thing... Steve Plunkett will not be apart of this line-up. I'm not sure the vocalist has been officially named (so I will not mention who it is) yet.. I will say, it seems like a strange fit to me. Thanks for the inside info on Autograph though I'm hugely disappointed to find out Plunkett's non involvement. Odd. Honestly, can't imagine seeing them without him. Thought Richie Cox did a reasonable imitation on the first Sik Vikki disc. The second you get the green light to spill on the replacement please do. Very curious.
