I'm finally getting a chance to watch Black N Blue - Live in Tokyo. :banger:

Pretty good huh Rick!!! I was impressed with the sound and the production. Really cool for being in what...1984 or so. Thanks again for hooking me up!! ~C

Very surprised with the quality. Of course back in '84 the Japanese were probably 15 years ahead of everyone else from a technical standpoint so that may explain it.

Watching Butch Walker - Live at Budokan again.

Kinda depressed the actual live at Budokan part is an opening gig (though, with that title, he can honor Cheap Trick, a fave of his). The solo acoustic gig blows it out of the water, though, and it's just an add-on to the Budokan show (according to the disc).

Eagles - Hell Freezes Over

My favourite is Joe Walsh in this video. His "Pretty Maids All In A Row" is nothing less than phantastic !!

Damn, the whole DVD is sensational !! I must have watched it more than 50 times already !

UFO - Showtime.

The guys are holding up well, Pete Way still bouncing about and Phil Moggs voice is still great. Jason Bonham (now left) is a right laugh. The extras on the DVD are waaay cool too!

Metal Skool

OMG! Frickin' hilarious! In the Fat Girl video, when Michael Diamond (I refuse to call them by their dumb new names) gets pushed out of the way by Ginger and says "Stop It!" and looks at him all pissed. I laughed my ass off!

When Stix loses a drum stick out of the back of the car was great.

But the best part of the video (aside from the innuendos and all the fun poking at 80s genre videos) was near the end of the video when Ginger's hair was blowing. That was just down right ridiculous! I was howling at that one!

Backstage stuff was pretty funny too.

Something about Ratchet's voice too. Even on the CD. Anything funny he says is made even funnier by his voice. Can't describe that detail, but, funnier nonetheless.

WHITESNAKE - Live: In the Still of the Night

Great stuff, awesome sound & love the tons of camera angles used. Absolutely no shots (close-up or otherwise) of Reb Beach though, whereas Aldrich is always on camera.

    • PoL is my favorite Jettblack song, absolutely love it!
    • I spoke to Wildstreet singer Jayk in e-mail and he said Golden Robot was being azz's with havin' CD's ready to go I'll leave it at that, but more was said.
    • Dark Endless - Marduk
    • Seems the owner of Golden robot Mark Alexander-Erber,  has quite a dodgy history including fire arms charges, a failed hotel chain and several other failed companies plus a tattoo shop with a notorious drug kingpin as his partner, which was controversial due to the paper work being botched as the shop should never have been given planning permission. Sounds like another company of his is going under.
    • Behind The Mirror - Kreator
    • Looks like there is a huge drama around the new Rileys LA Guns album, The Dark Horse. Apparently Golden Robot records was supposed to ship CDs and vinyl in April but they have gone dark. This was posted on the Rileys LA Guns FB page today: What’s up everybody? I wanted to give you all an update on the Vinyl & CD for THE DARK HORSE since they were supposed to be shipping mid April. But April has come and gone with no answers from GOLDEN ROBOT RECORDS, so I can’t. We have no idea what is happening with it. We don’t know if it’s been made, being made or never coming because Golden Robot Records won’t tell us. They won’t answer my emails so we are all left in limbo. I re-did the art 3 times to fit their changing templates. So the art was done over a year ago. Believe me that was a lot of work and we (the Band) were also looking forward to seeing the finished product. But like I said, as of now we don’t know. I will try to keep you all posted if I hear anything. Very disheartening
    • Scorpions - Tokyo tapes   Once all these Scorpions albums show up, I will have completed the studio album discography for them and replaced any tape copies I had. I don't see myself buying anymore live albums other than Moment of glory as not really a live album fan, and already have enough. And certainly no more best of type things unless they have exclusive tracks like Born to touch your feelings. I was trying to complete their discography a few years ago, but it got derailed by my medical issue.
