Sweet christ that Pretty Maids discography is proving to be super, super consistent. From 'Stripped' onwards those 4 albums have pretty much the same rating (sitting right on 80%) I guess due to the same formula. Utterly perfect melodic perfection (mostly 10/10 songs) mixed in with solid/average metal songs (mostly 6-7/10);

Ozzy Osbourne - Diary Of A Madman

Ozzy Osbourne - Bark At The Moon

Ozzy Osbourne - No Rest For The Wicked

Pretty Maids - Red, Hot & Heavy

Pretty Maids - Future World

Pretty Maids - Jump The Gun

Pretty Maids - Sin-Decade

Pretty Maids - Stripped

Pretty Maids - Scream

Pretty Maids - Spooked

Pretty Maids - Anything Worth Doing Is Worth Overdoing

Not really a great day. The debut Pride CD could have been great but the production on both is so shit. I don't think it was ever really talked about at the time because they're nice CDs... but that's about the epitome of the type of production I hate. Why put wet blankets on your drumkit when you record?

Apart from the POL debut which is an AOR masterclass

Oh really? Well I'm glad no band of significance took this "master" class. What on the album is actually such a great song? The most interesting one I could see was 'Gone.' A decent 7.5/10.

The rest? Okay, I admit 'First Time Around the Sun' is a masterclass. A masterclass in how to write the worst song of 2003. Probably the most over-rated CD in history... after Van Halen albums.

Def Leppard - S/T (I'll be gladly playing the hell out of this)

Cats In Space - Too Many Gods (This is staying put too)
