STATUS QUO - Quid Pro Quo (65%)

65% Is that all? THE best Quo album in 20 years. Depends if you're a fan or not I suppose ;)

Got this album free from the local label the other day and while I think I gave it a 70% at first, I think I just got bored easily as most songs were shuffling with only 3-4 basic chords with no variation so fans-only-type-of-album I guess :D

Safetysuit - These Times

I just got that one through, this band can do no wrong IMO...

Had a brief look on the net early this week to see what I'd missed in recent times and this was possibly the most exiting thing to be released that I will definitely check out asap.

i have no idea about this band, are they really good ? let me check it out, and looks like this one is a 2012 release, i checked on wikipedia and it's released on Jan 3rd

Atmospheric and excellently executed modern rock in the vein of a slightly harder rocking Coldplay.

Both albums are great IMO, but the debut still edges it.

Solid description, but it should also be noted that I despise Coldplay and love Safetysuit... so there are definite differences in song delivery there. ;)

Trying to finalise the last few ratings for my 2011 list as we speak:

Nickleback - 'Here and now'

Unless you're doing a top 1,000 then Nickleback shouldn't be anywhere close mate. Yeah I'm not sure I'd compare Safetysuit to Coldplay. They're definitely Modern Rock but on the softer-end, and are big on melody (unlike Coldplay). Great new disc IMO...

Yeah, Nickleback won't be anywhere near my top 50, or probably even 100. Just want to get a complete list with Alfonzetti and Fate included, and I had to get past duds like Nickleback too, to make it nice and complete. I do love that Alfonzetti album.

Vain - All Those Strangers

Thin Lizzy - Johnny the Fox

Tony Auton - Larceny, Treason and Tullamore Dew (local band)

Hammerfall - Chapter V

Hammerfall - No Sacrifice No Victory

Hammerfall - Glory to the Brave

Hammerfall - Crimson Thunder

Sebastina Bach - Kicking and Screaming
