Piranha - probably the best movie I've ever seen, and anyone who's seen it may not agree but can probably figure out the reason. ;) Deliciousness everywhere! The underwater scene with Kelly Brook and the blonde girl with implants was out of this world. Aside from the obvious exploitation of sluts, the movie itself was better than the norm when it comes to this kind of stuff. It was stupid and knew it was, but didn't come off as ridiculous as similar films. Good stuff. :)

What TOOK ya so long, G? I remember recommending that movie to you almost a year ago! :D But seriously, that was an awesome flick. Totally mindless, action packed T&A and gore. Looking forward to the sequel, which just came out on DVD and by all accounts is more of the same.

I just saw the original "Piranha" from 1978 last week and loved that one too.

The Change-Up

Cute "switcheroo" comedy... and hey, anything that Olivia Wilde takes her top off in is worth seeing. :P

Mate, I can honestly say that I've been hunting this down since that day - no kidding. It was hard to pick up at secondspin.com, where I get all my DVDs and I even tried to download in the meantime but always struggled like heck because of the 3D thing and names of a similar or same name. But I got it a while back and it's taken me a while to get it in the DVD player, but YUM! I was actually wondering if there would be a sequel and I'm delighted to hear there is. It will be mine. Oh yes.

It will be mine.

Haha, I just saw it is called Piranha 3DD. Cheeky, cheeky kids.

"Smokey and the Bandit" (1977)

Burt Reynolds is "Bandit" in one of the all time great car chase films. He's one half of a legendary outlaw trucker team challenged to transport a load of bootleg beer from Texas to Georgia, with a crazed redneck sheriff (Jackie Gleason) in hot pursuit the entire way.

I absolutely loved this movie when I was a kid, and hadn't seen it in probably 30 years till tonight. I'll admit that it hasn't aged very well and the car stunts, which were amazing for their time, have been outdone by countless films since, but Gleason is a total hoot and "Smokey" is still a fun redneck ride that entertained my inner 8 year old.

Revelation: Sally Field had a great ass in 1977.

One of the best films when I was a kid. Love the car.

"Tommy" (1975)

Lavishly produced, totally over the top bizarro film adaptation of The Who's famed rock opera about a traumatized "deaf dumb and blind kid" who becomes a pinball champion and then a messiah.

Great cast including Ann-Margret (hot!), Jack Nicholson (who actually sings, briefly!), Tina Turner, Elton John, and Eric Clapton.

The movie doesn't make a hell of a lot of sense but it's certainly a worthy watch just for the trippy visuals, particularly for the scene when a drunken Ann-Margret rolls around in a puddle of baked beans. :D

Ann Margret was totally a Hot Milf in this movie :masturbanana: . The seen with Cousin Kevin was my fave..

I remember my older brothers getting stoned, so they would want me to impersonate Gleason (Cursing and all), just to make them laugh..

I wonder if the dvd version has the real version of Gleason swearing and not the voice of Mel Blanc?

I've gotten so used to seeing the "older" Sally Field pitching osteoporosis medication on TV and playing everyone's Mother or Grandmother (she's "Aunt May" in the new Spider-Man movie for cryin' out loud!) that seeing the younger/cuter version was actually kind of a shock. I was like "Wow, Sally Field was hot back then. Who knew?" :pickle:

It sure sounded like Gleason on the DVD I watched. Was he over-dubbed by Blanc in some versions? That's a new one on me.

The t.v. version has been playing alot on one of the channels. They overdubbed the cursing scenes with someone who sounds like Mel Blanc..

"The Big Lebowski" (1998)

Jeff Bridges is a middle aged L.A. slacker known as "The Dude," who, without really meaning to, gets mixed up in the kidnapping of a millionaire's trophy wife, dragging the members of his bowling team along with him.

Quirky-as-usual comedy from the Coen Brothers of "Raising Arizona" and "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" fame has great performances by Bridges and John Goodman (as his psycho Nam-vet buddy "Walter") and the bizarre-at-times dialogue is endlessly quotable.

The Dude abides.
