Finished watching Ghost Rider.....

Disappointing film :(

There were exactly two good things about "Ghost Rider" and both of them were on Eva Mendes' chest.

Last night I watched "House on Haunted Hill" (1999) on American Movie Classics' "Fear Fest" - not a great movie but enough to keep my interest

I kinda thought that Famke Janssen was the best part of "House on Haunted Hill."

The Strangers - A nice thriller/horror movie. The creepiest things about this movie is that this could actually happen and the fact that the villains never said hardly a word which really creeeped me out.

The Incredible Hulk- This was 10 million times better than the last Hulk flick. I'm a big fan of Edward Norton and this movie didn't let me down. Great action, great acting and a much better story line than the last movie. It was cool to see Tiim Roth and William Hurt in a big blockbuster movie as both are very underrated actors IMO. Also was cool to see Robert Downey Jr. reprise his role as Stark from Iron Man at the end so there could be some type of crossover for Iron Man 2 potentially.

Halloween 3: Season of the Witch

A very good, underrated movie, why it was called Halloween III, other than for cashing in on, I`ll never know

Halloween 3: Season of the Witch

A very good, underrated movie, why it was called Halloween III, other than for cashing in on, I`ll never know

John Carpenter's original plan was to turn the "Halloween" franchise into an annual series of anthology-style films, unconnected to each other aside from the title, ala "Tales From The Crypt" or "The Twilight Zone." When "Halloween III" crashed and burned, that was the end of that plan. (and it was also the end of the "Halloween" series for quite a while... it took six years for them to finally decide to bring ol' Mikey back for "Halloween 4.")

Which is a shame cuz on its own "H-III" is a pretty cool, nasty little flick... it has its cheesy moments of course but what '80s horror flick didn't?

    • Album out August 23rd. From Frontiers: During Jon Anderson’s 39-year Rock and Roll Hall of Fame career as the lead vocalist of YES, he was seen as one of the leading proponents of the Progressive Rock movement. During his tenure with YES, he recorded 19 studio albums and multiple live albums, many of which have been certified gold and platinum. Albums such as The “YES” album, “Fragile”, “Close to the Edge”, “Tales of Topographic Oceans”, and “90125” remain classic albums to this day. Songs such as “Roundabout”, “Yours is No Disgrace”, “And You and I”, “Going for the One”, “Awaken”, and “Owner of a Lonely Heart” were staples on Active Rock radio throughout the 70’s and 80’s. While still a member of YES, Jon released multiple solo records and collaborations, the most noteworthy being his 4 albums with Greek composer Vangelis Upon leaving YES in 2008, Jon continued releasing multiple solo records and collaborations. In 2023, after connecting with a group of New York musicians called The Band Geeks, Jon embarked on a summer of 2023 tour performing 2 hours of YES epics and classics. With The Band Geeks, Jon found a group of musicians that he felt could collaborate with him to create a body of work that rivaled the classic YES sound of the 70’s and 80’s. The result of this collaboration is “True”, Jon’s debut album for Frontiers Records. The 9-song album harkens back to the sound of classic YES and features compositions of all lengths with the centerpiece being the 16 minute song “Once Upon a Dream”. Jon and The Band Geeks will be supporting the new album with extensive touring TRACKLIST: 1. True Messenger 2. Shine On 3. Counties And Countries 4. Build Me An Ocean 5. Still A Friend 6. Make It Right 7. Realization Part Two 8. Once Upon A Dream 9. Thank God
    • I used to listen to their '89 and '91 albums a lot but every try to get used to their newer outputs didn't work. Now I took some time again to listen to their last few albums and somehow I started loving them. Not every song but 70-80% on each album, which is quite a lot. I'm very excited for "Speed of Darkness". The first two songs are good (not as good as my favourites on the last albums, though but a good start). In "The ghost" I sometimes feel like the voice is a bit late here and there, which is something that I notice pretty often recently. Don't know why that happens (e.g. the new Kissin Dynamite songs, Autumn's child the last two albums, Lordi sometimes on the last album). I hope it's only in that song.
    • Holy shit. Get with the fuckin' times!            I also wanna know.
    • Ya I bought the cassettes of them when they came out & I still have them but I played the first one so much the tape got funny ...lol. The CD's sound good.
    • Not bad,I will say its created an earworm in me ,but they have a few songs like this now ,some tts42572 pointed out and not long ago we got Kick which had similar leanings,I get it thats what they grew up on etc and I suppose they can always just do what they like,I'd personally prefer they did new stuff in the vein of All Time High/Gimme A Kiss but they are in their 60's now so I'm just glad they're still around, have been my favourite band since I was about 7 or 8.
    • Not the rocking 80's Def Leppard but I still like that tune.  Very much in the style of their more "glam" songs and sounds like a mixture of C'Mon C'Mon and Back In Your Face. From a recent interview I saw with Rick Savage, sounds like an album is in the works and he said they're aiming to have it out in 2025.  Not sure if this song will be on it or not.  Hopefully it does as the OCD in me likes having songs find proper places on albums and not just floating around on their own as singles
    • Erik Grönwall    Thank you Michael Schenker for allowing me to feature on this release together with you and SlashThis Swede is very honored to be in your company. ⠀ Thanks for letting me sing on this UFO classic and for allowing me to be a very small part of your long and successful career. ⠀ Also thank you Max and the team at earMUSIC for coordinating this. Michael Schenker - Mother Mary - Feat Slash and Erik Grönwall - out June 19th!
    • Okay, I must be completely behind the times with this, but are you guys saying that there’s a website that allows you to create your own AI generated songs?
    • I paid $25 for my Black 'N Blue when it was released.  When I picked it up at one of my local haunts and played it to a mate of mine, he loved it and asked me to order him a copy, which I did the next day. That night he picked up a copy at another store (I wasn't thrilled). When I called the next day to cancel the order, the guy cracked the shits. I'd purchased a lot from this store, but that was it. Never went back.
