depends what you're playing it on. I listen to nearly everything on my phone on Spotify and to be honest with melodic rock there is very little difference between releases.

now melodic rock vs chart is a different story.....that stuff walks all over our genre but then millions are probably pumped in

Yeah, that is being needlessly harsh. There's no way the "audio quality sucks."

That's pretty much how I see it. I was just thinking about this album this morning.

Songs keep popping up in my 2020 play list. It's nice. Solid. Not one of their absolute best.

It doesn’t affect the songs per se but damn this album has some of THE worst titles. Melodic rock bands shouldn’t have track titles (actually used in the chorus) like Searching For Meaning, The Death Of Me, Mother Of Invention, Riot In My Head or Swallowed By The Machine.

Treat did the same thing with an album name I can’t comprehend Tunguska...I know about the meteor in Siberia story...also song titles like Projenitors, Creeps and Hearthmath City...yuck!

I’m old school, give me singalong titles with the words love, believe, everything, night, day or a chicks name as the title.

I applaud them for this but then I'm old.

I gave this a listen yesterday after a fair break.
Love it, still don't know why it wasn't loved here.
one of their best IMO

even slightly weaker HS albums are still better than what most other bands put out

Here's the thing about Treat, at least the last couple albums - it's like they're imitating the faux-intellectual, pseudo-deep lyrics that Rush & Yes spit out on 90% of their stuff (NOTE: I *like* Rush and Yes).  And so you get nonsense like that.  Still a tremendous album though!

ALBUM REVIEW: Harem Scarem – Change The World – The Rockpit

Weird comment for me.
This album is closer to their early 'sing along' stuff than the last few albums.

    • It's ok. I think people know I am a massive Crue fan, and I like a lot of stuff by them that people hate (the Generation Swine album for example) but the only newer original song I have cared about them in recent years was The Dirt. Everything else has been either meh or crap. I did also like their cover of Like a virgin, which I know a lot of peeps didn't like, so it's not like I am just craving the good old days. I would be happy if we could get a song close to Afraid, Saints of Los Angeles or the aforementioned The Dirt. I think songs like that will be few and far between sadly.
    • Have to agree. Although my expectations were that it would be absolutely horrible like Dogs of War lol. Still far away from classic Motley Crue but I at least made it all the way through this one so that's a positive. Still nothing to write home about but at least it rocks fairly well and there's a semblance of a song there.
    • Just ordered!   All three Magic Dance EPs (Another World, Kiss Scene and Haunting Me) combined into one CD. All new artwork, lyric booklet and three bonus tracks. Silver-pressed replication CD.     https://magicdance.bandcamp.com/album/magic-dance-the-eps
    • Stumbled upon these guys on the Instagrams. Pretty good mix of Modern Rock and Metal with blazing guitars and heavy double-bass drums, and Pop Punk-style vocals.
    • Well... I just jizzed in my pants.  I'm so glad these guys aren't a one-and-done act. Looking forward to much more music, hopefully.
    • Great album upon first few spins..I mean how good/catchy is the track "Lets Go Rent A Video" especially for those of us who actually remember doing that lol
