Yep, entirely, completely pointless. Tricks me every time too. :(

Bloody fantastic track...heavier at times. Great chorus and Pete is awesome as usual. There’s a reason that Harem Scarem is still on everybody’s radar after nearly 30 years....so consistent.

Judged by the samples "The death of me" seems to be the best song on the album already. Maybe the production is a little bit dark for my taste and in the intro of the death of me I have a problem with the hi-hat sound because it sounds choppy somehow, like they cut the sound after a second.

Still I'm looking forward to the full songs.

Death of Me is very nice.

I hear a bit of Eclipse in the pre chorus but the chorus is pure HS. Like Pete's solo as well.

Dig that.

I really never got into these guys much back in the day outside a few songs here and there but for me their last album was excellent stuff.

This seems to be picking right up where the last one left off.

what? how can you not like the first 2 albums? They are pretty much perfectly executed melodic rock.

Nice first track with a great chorus and tasty solo by Pete

As consistently good as these guys have been, those first 2 albums are by far my faves.  That's along the lines of what we were mentioning on the favorite Crue songs thread.  I always find it interesting to read comments from others whom I usually have similar tastes.  Then they completely surprise me by having a much different view then I'd expect on something I'd figure they would really like/dislike

just listened to the 30 secs samples and it's sounding very nice indeed.

Very much looking forward to giving this a full spin.

What he said! First two are damn near perfect!

Ron Young would be proud of how they are embracing their aging, with all the short hair and grey etc.
If I saw a photo of this band and didn't know who they were, I'd say that the drummer was the singer for sure ;)

Song was ok, vocals sounded a bit vibro-ey but that may have been my speakers.
Would be nice if there was some diversity on the album, bringing in some different instruments and styles to spice it all up a bit.
HS kind of fall into the 'a bit too samey' category, although they are a lot less samey than other bands.

That is very good - excellent. Very, very promising.

I wonder if Harry ever thought about growing his hair back just a little. And yes, they're certainly ageing, aren't they?

You know man, I was thinking the same thing during the video. I miss the long haired Harry.

It was so big and boofy but I thought he looked pretty cool way back in the day. I wouldn't expect the dude to still have the full lion's mane, but he's just one of those dudes that would look better - imo, of course - with a bit more hair. :)

Yeah, Lesperance's new look seemed to appear quick, but he's still crisp looking... for a grandfather. ;)

    • I'm surprised you haven't heard of her Geoff. She was massive in the 80s. "Kids in America" ring a bell? This is her best track from then IMO. "Chequered Love" And yes, she was quite the looker.
    • Hmm, I know there isn’t a whole lot coming out in December, but it seems just a tad early to be doing a year end list (imo anyway). With that said, I always find Brendon’s pick’s interesting, even though very few of them usually match up with my own. 🤔
    • I don't know many other songs with the same name, but both "Two Sides of Love" by Jodi Bongiovi and Zinatra are killer tunes.     Oh, and while I was searching on YouTube for the Jodi Bongiovi song, I found this gem by Tower City:
    • For real! I don't own a turntable, and I'm conflicted over whether I should get one just for this one record. I'm hoping if they don't eventually also release it as a CD, then they'll at least put it on streaming services like they did with the demos on the 2013 CD.
    • Has anyone else noticed how the new vocalist kinda sounds like Gene Simmons? 🤔
    • That's actually a pretty cool hard-driving tune right there...too bad it ain't dropping as a cd instead of vinyl.
    • She had a big hit over here w/ that Supreme's song back in the 80's...and quite the looker back in the day...
    • Yep, fully agree that this was actually a big surprise, how good it is. I liked the previous one, but this is a massive step up.
    • The day everyone's been waiting for, new "video" day! So here's the fourth track from the album. The first "ballad." Bit of a cringe-fest, just the way I like it;    The media whirlwind around this release has been so massive too. Write-ups flowing in; “The way the band infuses killer hooks, with cringey lyrics and inconsistent audio quality across the album is a thing of true marvel!” - anonymous source, with a name that rhymes with Spaino. “The videos that accompany each song are stunning; the way in which they have absolutely zero reference or compatibility with the music. The mind-numbing old goPro footage combined with the at-times-excellent (but seemingly darkened for YouTube) photography, is really something to behold!” - anonymous source, with a name that rhymes with Flaino.  “With almost 30 overall views on YouTube, and close to 50 individual song streams, across all streaming platforms, gAIno seems to be a train that cannot be stopped. So immense is the interest in these songs, that I find it hard to fathom.” anonymous source, with a name that rhymes with Blaino
    • lol, he's making a bit of shambles of getting the story out. Might have been better just to tell it properly, in full. Little gripe I have, and a true crime YouTube channel I watch does it too... but calling criminals "gentlemen" just irritates me.
