Ok so I accidentally skipped this part too as did someone else so I don't feel quite as bad, lol. 

1. I love talking & if it's a subject I'm interested in YOU'LL SEE ME THERE! 

2. I'm obsessed with music, 80s Christian Rock is the best!!!! 

3.  I'm almost 13 (I feel it's better if I share my age, cuz I don't care) 

4. Petra is my favorite band, & the reason I miss April of 2019

5. I sadly, live in the past a lot 😔

6. I love obscure-ish websites like this & https://www.thepetrazone.net/

7. I found this website, because, 

I saw Angelica had a new single on Spotify, went to see if that was Angelica the 90s Christian rock band or the lady who's music gets so often mixed up on there with theirs, and I came across a topic on here, and I needed an account, and here I am! ; )

All my friends are older than me pretty much, BIG shoutout to my Swedish friend, & Jewels, they're  the best ones!!!! (They ain't on here though,)

Yes welcome and thanks for the the little introduction. Very impressed that your invested at such a young age in these classic rock tombs we are all obsessed about and the core group here is very informative and a good group of guys.

 

Maybe outside of your current Christian Rock obsession you'll find some other bands of interest as at the end of the day its only rock n roll but I like it.

Hahaha, well turns out he didn't even know I was a girl, or 13 so he was talking to someone else entirely in his mind! He apologized, I cried, no hard feelings lol. But that's good cause people like that all the time no matter what the circumstances really bother me. But turns out Brent is a nice guy, I'd be talking like that to a grown man too if he told me Michael Sweet was cute 😂😂😂😂😂

Yeah, but 'CCM' just makes me think of Christian pop or what plays on Christian radios now, so I like to call it Christian Classic Rock. ;)

Wow, you're certainly one of the younger members here. I think Karpetface turned 9 this year, but after him, you're the next youngest! 

Welcome aboard and yes, pretty impressive to see someone so young into this type of music. Do your parents listen to this style of music? Interested in how you got into it in the first place.

My mom likes Jack Johnson, Matt Costa, Dave Matthews Band, Bob Seger, John Mellencamp, Poison & Stryper

My dad likes Beck, Pink Floyd, he used to listen to Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, Fiery Furnaces, Blondie- weirder stuff usually from the 90s

I got my 80s music from 3rd older sister, when she came into my room April of 2018.

In September of the same my mom was telling another older sister of mine that there was an 80s Christian Rock Band called Stryper & I needed to listen for myself because what could be better? After that I got a bunch of 80s Christian Rock, as well. :guitar:

Before I started listening to my 80s music though, I only knew what my oldest sister and my 2nd oldest sister listened to~ 

House of Heroes, Beecake. Volbeat, newer Green Day, Muse, Billy Talent, Mike Mains & the Branches --I still like Volbeat though. 

If I explained in detail how it all happened it would be pages long as I like to talk but, I'll keep it short-ish for y'all.

Some of my favorite bands though are 

Whitecross, Petra!!!!, Foreigner, WhiteHeart, Resurrection Band, Iron Maiden, Stryper, Metallica, Europe, Bon Jovi, Barren Cross, Billy Idol, Guardian, Daniel Amos-- really too many to actually name them all ;)

      It's ok. I think people know I am a massive Crue fan, and I like a lot of stuff by them that people hate (the Generation Swine album for example) but the only newer original song I have cared about them in recent years was The Dirt. Everything else has been either meh or crap. I did also like their cover of Like a virgin, which I know a lot of peeps didn't like, so it's not like I am just craving the good old days. I would be happy if we could get a song close to Afraid, Saints of Los Angeles or the aforementioned The Dirt. I think songs like that will be few and far between sadly.

      Have to agree. Although my expectations were that it would be absolutely horrible like Dogs of War lol. Still far away from classic Motley Crue but I at least made it all the way through this one so that's a positive. Still nothing to write home about but at least it rocks fairly well and there's a semblance of a song there.

      Stumbled upon these guys on the Instagrams. Pretty good mix of Modern Rock and Metal with blazing guitars and heavy double-bass drums, and Pop Punk-style vocals.

      Great album upon first few spins..I mean how good/catchy is the track "Lets Go Rent A Video" especially for those of us who actually remember doing that lol
