There's about 6 all-time favourite albums in that list alone! Is it even legal to have those Harem Scarem, Kane Roberts, Europe, Casanova, Danger Danger and Dare albums all from the same year? It shouldn't be. I forgot Casanova I only have One Night Stand, which I listened to the first time, the other day. That album is fantastic, so I gotta get the debut. Holy shit mate, if you think 'One Night Stand' is fantastic, you will actually lose your balls when you hear their debut. I also love both discs, but the debut is a bit more consistent and one of my personal favourite albums of all time.

Geoff
Are you sure Geoff ? because I think 'one night stand' slightly edge the debut, but I haven't re-rated both of em Very, very sure, mate. I will actually be rating these two next week and will resurrect some old Casanova thread for my rating of their discography. 'Seal it with a kiss' would be in the running for my all time favourite Casanova song, and it does have 'I'll come runnin,' 'Ticket to the moon,' 'Guns of fire...' it's a killer disc. But yeah, I adore the debut. I think there is one slightly weaker song in it, and the rest is brilliant. 'Love lies' -
PeterS
Not as many truly great albums for me but some of my all time favourites. I would of course add the Pearl Jam album because it's brilliant. Probably The Cults most consistent album. I'm probably the only person to think that but I love Ceremony from beginning to end. That Havana Black hits the spot for me and the Law and Order has a special place in my heart. Played the Shadow King to death as well. If that's your playlist from this excellent year, then you have every right to think it was a terrible year. Didn't you listen to any of the good albums from this year? I'd give you Vain, Bad English, White Lion, Shadow King, LA Guns, Tesla and probably even Mr Big... but like I said in another thread, do you hate Europeans? Not a single European band in that list, like Casanova, Bai Bang, Bonfire, Douglas, or what about Australia's BB Steal. Or Harem Scarem from Canada? And if you're stuck in America, what about Britney Fox's best album? And thats just a bare surface scratch. Sorry mate, but if you don'y listen to the good albums from any year, of course that year is going to suck. Barely one album from Dead Planet's list of actual good releases is mentioned. You're a peculiar man.
PeterS
Thought about Britney Fox but I didn't think that was their best. The Cult, The Law and Marillion are English! Havana Black, Finland. Never really listened to the European bands back then. Probably should now I live in Germany. I think I was put off by watching Doro support Dio once. Pretty lass but not my music... There's a fairly strong argument that I only really listen to stuff out of Scandinavia at the moment.
Geoff
The Cult, The Law and Marillion are English! Havana Black, Finland. But let's be honest - they are all dreadful bands! I don't think one of those albums lasted a full week in my collection. If you only listen to Scandanavian bands now, you should implement that into the rest of your collection too. I'm not having a go at you at all. If anything, just trying to help a brother out. I don't know your exact taste in music, but I meant what I said - if that list is what you have, I totally agree that 1991 would have been a horrible year for you. I'm just trying to say there is absolutely brilliant stuff from 1991; it's just not on your list. Give the stuff on Dead Planet's list a go and you will change your mind quick about the quality of 1991.
PeterS
That's why I love these threads, and this site in general. There is a ton of great music out there that I've not heard. Currently got the first Casanova album on, that many rate. Never heard of it.

To my ears, hardly any filler at all, and I can't think of anything I'd want to have missed out on if they had condensed the highlights into just one album. Also loved Steelheart's debut, as well as Richie Sambora's first solo effort showing the world that he didn't need to be Jon Bon Jovi's sidekick for the rest of his life.
