That is terrible news, definitely a guy who made his own way in life playing what he wanted and not bowing to what everyone expected of him. A massive loss. I didn't even realise he was ill. :(

Massive shock when I heard about this this morning. A Legend (and I mean Legend) on the guitar who was vastly underated by many and vastly superior to most. A very very sad day indeed. R.I.P. Ronnie, a true musician

Shock indeed. I'm glad I saw him 3 times including one awesome Gamma gig in the early 90s. He was set to play a local gig in a few weeks.

According to the Classic Rock website, they'll be putting out a live DVD very soon ... THAT might be worth a look ...
