  1. Sounds a lot like Bonfire to me. Love it!!!!
  2. After listening to the new Boston album it surely didn't help
  3. Hi guys and gals BlindJester here. It has been a while since I have posted. The reason I am posting today is this: TAKE CARE OF YOURSELVES!!!!!!!!! I am recovering from a heart attack. The funny thing is that I didn't really have a lot of behaviors associated with someone at risk. I don't and never have smoked or did other substances. I drink in moderation. My diet is decent and I get exercise. Imagine my surprise. Friends listen to your bodies. Get checkups and be moderate. The interesting thing was when I had my HA and went to the hospital they were going to send me home because my EKG did not show an Attack. Fortunately for me the did blood work and noticed something wasn't right and decided to keep me. I did not know about the going home thing till my primary doctor told me at a later visit. Now my world has changed, but I am vertical and breathing. It can happen to anyone at anytime. PLEASE if you have chest pains get it looked at. YOU CAN'T ROCK IN A BOX!!!!!!!!! Sandy P.S. I will get off the soap box now. I have some catching up to do. My last communication was about the new Boston CD.
  4. Hell its just cool that I got a response. It is not a bad cassette.
  5. Sounds a lot like CA. Maybe because almost half of it is. CA had a moment or 2 but by and large wasn't really good. Walk On was really to me the last album that sounded like Boston. I am not in the industry and I really don't know anything about recording music but this is my take. The first 4 albums had a very sharp and clearly defined sound. They sounded very crisp. CA and LL&H sound very muffled to me, like I am listening through a wall. I keep waiting to hear the signature Boston guitar come blistering through but it never seems to get there. Maybe it's just my ears (and too many years of listening to really loud music) but it sounds compressed to me. The guy who did the review on the Boston website evidently wasn't listening to the same songs I was. Maybe he was a singer on the cd also. Dig the album cover though. Maybe at this point maybe Boston should just WALK ON. Sandy
  6. So far just about every team from what I have seen has at sometime benefited and at other times been screwed by the replacement officials. My solution is simple. If you are the better team then outscore your opponent by enough that a bad call cannot affect the outcome of the game. As a Tarheel fan nothing irritates me worse than a bunch of Carolina or Duke fans talking about how an official cost them the game. I have never seen an official score a single point in any game, Basketball of Football. I listened to a bunch of "fans" talking about how the officials in the UNC-Louisville game didn't call a facemask at the end of the game when the Heels attempted a pass in the end zone that could have possibly won the game. My point was don't spot a team 30ish points in the first half. An official can only determine the outcome if the teams let them. If a person will look at the history of their team they will see that their team probably has benefited as much from bad calls as it has cost them so it usually equals out. So my advice to MY teams The Bills and The Heels: OUTSCORE the other team!!!!!!!! Early and often, then the officials can't "BEAT YOU".
  7. I found this cassette. The band is called Pendragon. It was recorded in Greenville NC in 1993. The band members are: Jeff and Brad Garland and Josh Summers. They play Prog rock and it is obvious they were influenced by Rush. They have a very similar sound to Rush in thier songs. There are also nods to Yes on more than one occasion. Vocals are ok not great. If anyone has any info I will be greatful. Thanks Sandy
  8. In the rock world I think all female voices are compared to Ann Wilson and Pat Benatar. I have no problem with that since they are 2 of the best voices I have ever heard. But for my money and ears Karen Carpenter is the one voice that still sends shivers down my spine.

    Hi! :)

    Welcome to the madhouse.
  10. Andy Griffith has ben on almost nonstop since 1960 or so. Here in NC one of the channels (before cable) always played it sometime during the day. My mom tells me that it was one of my favorite shows when I was little. Back then it was first run. I was born in 60 so I really don't remember it. I really wish sometimes life was that simple again.
  11. Lovin' Touchin' Squeezin'. Need I say more. BTW has anyone ever tried to count the nah nah's in that song.
  12. It is sad that Queensryche has fallen so far. The total disrespect of the fans is unexcusable. They are done!!!
  13. Very sad. My thoughts and best wishes go to his family.
  14. I found a cassette from a band called Alienation. The title is Under the Gun. They are from the midwest, KC I think. The band consists of Steve Kishinevsky, Tryson Leslie, John Cougher, Vlad Basov and Eric Lowell. I know they have a Myspace page. Do any of you guys have any info on them. To me their hard stuff sounds like Motley Crue lite and the slower stuff has a Firehouse feel to it. It was released on Inferno Records in 1993. Any help will be appreciated. Sandy
  15. Love changes everything- AXE Love this song!!!!
  16. This was a pretty nice one-off album. I really didn't think that the group was sustainable.
  17. Finally saw it last night and enjoyed it. I hope it doesn't go the way of V.
  18. To filter low feedback go to your account page and scroll down to Buyer Requirements. Scroll down to the box that says apply this block to buyers who have a feedback score of "dropdown box" or lower. The limit is 5. Then click apply. That should work.
  19. I tried adding both of those userIDs to my blocked bidder list and got a message saying they do not exist... I had the wrong spelling in the orginal post. kishinnyman, wellsthatsright2011, is the correct spelling here's another one to block, 0 feedback letsbfriends2011201111 appears to be one of those jackoffs Chris Sarti is causing havoc with my demo tapes, as quick as I block his bids, he comes back under a different name. He has already won one, and I'm sure real buyers are bailing out with all the cancellations. Any suggestions ? letsbfriends... is Chris Sarti. He won my cassette by Fixation a few weeks back. I refused to sell to him. He has emailed me several times to ask it I had resold the tape. Too bad Ebay won't deal with buyers like him. I put up a filter to keep low feedback bidders from bidding.
  20. Very Sad. May his family find comfort.
  21. Added to mine also. I found a couple of cassettes this week that will be going on soon.
  22. Been gone for a little while so I haven't updated. The 45 days have passed and it seems all is alright with the world. I guess I was the fortunate one. The whole thing was a real roller coaster ride. I appreciate all who have kept up with the Peralta saga and cared enough to offer constructive criticism. All of the questionable bidders have also been blocked by me. I did try to cancel the auction but had waited too late. I did inform Martin that I had been on the phone with ebay with my concerns with the bidding retraction and Chris using 3 diffrent ids (not sure if they did anything about that... probably not). I let him know that I had replayed the cassette and all was in excellent condition and that ebay said they would monitor the transaction ( they actually said that). I send it signature required so that it couldn't "get lost". That was alot of worry for 315.00, lesson learned. I hope to run another auction the middle of the month with a few goodies. I am off to do more goodie searching, then to work. Coming back from vacation sucks. Sandy
  23. Oh I have been paid. Matter of fact he paid the next day. I sent it signature required and he received it the 21st of May. I am just waiting for him to claim that the cassette was defective or something. We'll see.
