Indies - What's the greatest ever?

Is this because you didn't believe me about Farrcy and had to learn the hard way?;)

But yeah, a few of my faves:

Intuition - 'Turn it on'

Hotboy - 'Barely legal'

Inside Out - both

Farrcry - 'Can't bargain with god'

Crush - '...This'

To be honest, a lot of over-rated ones, but these few deliver. And NO, I have not forgotten Jillson... I just don't think it's that good.

Yes I've learned the hard way on Farrcry and I regret every minute of it.

Love the Inside Outs and they'd probably be my choices but there's so many I haven't heard before.

Never heard the Crush, Hotboy or Intuition before.

The Jilson will probably get mentioned quite a bit here and I do like it but it's not worth the Billion dollars it goes for IMO.

Hard to narrow it down to just one, but several indies that I really like (off the top of my head) are :

Blind Gypsy – Never Coming Home

Dirty Blond - Cardboard

KK Wilde – Rock n Roll

Mr. Hyde – S/T

Nova Rex - Blow Me Away

Original Sinners - Love or the Money

Sage - Luv n' Lust

Taken – Smell the Groove

Tammer Laine - Let's Get It On!

Tattoo - Kings of the White Trash Neighborhood

Wicked Kin – Born Killers

Good stuff! :party421:

Damn Mike there is many there that I have never heard of.

That Tattoo is solid as is the Wicked Kin.

I've never heard the KK Wilde or the Taken but have read great things about them.

Another one of my indie favs is Toymaker's Dream "Try Me I Rock".

Edit: I just realized that I have the mp3s for that Taken disc, good stuff.

That Crush is on my trade list, since they are from around here I come across it from time to time... and yes it is a good one!

About half an hour after my post I was thinking how the f*ck I forgot to mention Friction's 'Baby talk', which is probably the best of them all.

Agree on Theatre, Heartless and Concrete Jungle too.

If only Jillson didn't have that paper thin production, it would be that much better.

Speaking of paper thin production, nothing can beat S'aint America. Only 4 songs and 1 of them is a remake but the others are very good. But still the production is really bad.

Crazy bastard. I'll try to fix this up for you.

Wolfmother > Intuition

You forgot to add "If you're a raging homosexual" to your post.

FWIW, Friction- Baby Talk, Montazh- Reach, Douglas- Mad, White Eagle- Bustin' Ass, Joker- Cool Deal, Joker- Ecstasy and Luv Junkies- S/T are among my favorites....Jeff.

Edit: Maybe The Joker CDs aren't really idies in the strictest sense, since they were released by FEMS and Polygram, same with Douglas. So, I guess maybe I'd replace those 3 with: Blue Thunder- S/T (listen to this alot), Inside Out- S/T (sensational, a top 5 disc in my humble collection), Worlds Apart- S/T (not all of the tracks are equally great, but it is very good overall), and Concrete Jungle- Wear And Tear (love this one). Are any of these "the best?" I have no idea, but I do personally listen to each of the above more often than the other indies in my collection- but still haven't picked up originals of Theatre (most collectors probably haven't either) and Jillson (Grrr, great CD that my collection is still sorely missing).
