So, Davy did finally come through w/a copy of his solo CD that I had purchased. Brand new, sealed and silver pressed for one hell of a great price relative to the going rate on e-bay. The delay I experienced, according to Davy, was secondary to the band waiting for a new batch of discs to arrive. Overall, I'd rate this transaxn as a huge HELL YEAH

Hey all, Just wondering if anyone else has purchased directly from Davy Vain's website (davyvain.com)? I bought a CD, "Davy Vain- In From Out Of Nowhere," from that website using PayPal almost 1 month ago now, hasn't arrived- I know the band is actively touring again and have no idea who is responsible for handling orders. There's also no link or e-mail address thru which to contact the site's proprietor (except the PayPal payment e-mail address I suppose). Anyway, just wondering what others may have experienced? I'll give it the full 40+ days before filing a claim, if necessary, but that would really suck, this is the last Vain CD that I need for my collection....Thanx and cheers, Jeff.

Agreed, that's a cool ballad. Really can't go wrong w/this band, which, in terms of quality, picks right up where the second Rockarma CD left off. Not sayin' the bands sound the same, b/c they don't. But both offer catchy melodic HR in spades w/gr8 melody, memorable chorus lines and some killer hooks. I'll be buyin' my copy shortly.

Bernd, Just curious to know what you think about the Nightwish album after you've had a chance to absorb it a bit. I've listened to it since it came out and just can't quite get into it the same as the Tarja Turunen fronted albums.

I'm starting a new job that will stretch my already thin free time, and I don't think I'm going to have much time for CD buying for awhile- might be a good thing as my stacks of "still haven't listened to yet" discs are ridiculously high and my wallet feels pretty light- so I wanted to "go out" w/a small flurry and fill some holes in my still very modest collection....Cheers my friend Victory > all other German bands Yes, I do believe that you and I think quite alike.... keep rockin' my friend!

haven't they been in the studios for about 7 years now? Well yes, they've been saying that for years now, but this time they have actually entered the studio. Any hints as to what this will actually sound like? I have to be honest and say I'd be absolutely stunned if they actually produced something worthwhile. But it would be a pleasant shade of being stunned. Oh how I wish that it should sound like "...ish." The grandest Aussie AOR album of 'em all IMO. I think I might marry that CD one day, or at least invite it in for a snuggly 3-way w/m'lady. Yes, I might just do that....

Yes, I agree completely, the Bonrud- S/T CD was classy, melodic, and almost, daresay, essential. Great news that another record is on the way !

If you don't mind me asking where did you get Fear Not- S/T (1993) from? Cheers Not at all, purchased it this past Sat. on e-bay. Paid about $18.00 for it, which in my experience isn't too far off the usual e-bay/Amazon mark (sometimes a little lower, other times a bit higher). I'd been outbid a couple times before for it, so kinda nice to finally get it .

I had just very brief interactions w/him while buying a handful of CDs over the past 2-3 years, but he seemed very pleasant and certainly had a heckuva collection of indie CDs. Very tragic, I feel bad for this family. Unfortunately, in my line of work I have seen far too many cases such as this and it's always sad. R.I.P.

Really good euro. melodic hard rock, maybe a tinge of sleaze. Another gr8 band from Sweden. both CDs are excellent, but the second release really has some smokin' rockers- "Heads Or Tails" and "Outlaw" just rip. Vocalist has a slight accent, but doesn't detract a bit iMO. Good call on this band Mike

This turned up yet? Just wondering what the verdict is. I like the three tracks I've heard; 'Thank You' is excellent and even the instrumental is good, so I'm wondering if it's more of the same, or whether the other tracks are a bit weaker...? Sorry mate, could be a long while before I hear this one. It won't turn up for another week or so and I won't be listening to any "outside" CDs until after the 27th (I'm only listening to Soundwave bands till then) and then when I do get this CD I put all my unheard CDs in alphabetical order as I listen to them. As there are still about 200+ CDs there that I haven't heard, I reckon I may get to this one somewhere between June-Aug this year. But I will be sure as shit to let you know what I think as soon as I hear it. 200+ unheard CDs ?! Wow mate, you need to take sick leave for a few days and bunker down for some marathon listening sessions. I mentioned to Fahrenheit awhile back that such an activity is one of my fantasies, but alas it will probably always remain so....I likely don't have 200 yet unlistened to discs (not organized enough to formally keep count...yet), but I do have a sh*tload and the pile ain't gettin' smaller
