What CDs did you buy this week?

Picked up Slayer's WORLD PAINTED BLOOD today... for (sorta) free!

I went out to the Target store up the road from where I work today to pick up a Xmas gift for my wife... and as I was getting out of my car I found $15 in the parking lot. Of course, I said "Woot! I can buy a CD for myself too!"

I didn't even have Slayer on my mind when I went in the store, but as it turns out Target's CD selection is pretty lame so that was the only thing that jumped out at me. Sounds pretty good thus far though!! :beerbang:

I'm waiting for quite a few CDs but I just read yesterday that the postmen are/have been/will be on strike this week. HAHA! Good luck at getting my CDs, chump. Actually pretty pissed off about it to be honest, as I had a few Christmas pressies for my wife still coming in the mail. :(

what! aussie post on strike?

i'm waiting on my bro;s xmas present in the mail. i was hoping it would be there when i get home.

Yep, annoying f*cks have been on strike for 2 days here in NSW. Not sure about the other states. Pretty f*cking annoying timing.

Same here In Victoria boys,it's been 2 f**ckin' days already and i'm waiting for cd's to come from interstate'guess i won't hold my f**ckin' breath too long on these :angryfire:

I have to say - fair enough if you want more money, etc. - hell, who the f*ck doesn't? I could do with at minimum double my salary, but to pull this shit over Christmas? WTF?

As I say, I have quite a few Christmas presents I bought for people coming to me via mail and if I don't get them before the 24th I'm going to be pretty pissed off, having to hand out IOU's on christmas rather than actual presents.

The CDs - honestly, I couldn't care less. I have more than enough to keep me occupied and I can wait until the new year for those... but these presents were bought on a tight schedule.

With the presents mate i totally feel your pain and i would be pissed off if they don't arrive on time, really do hope you get them in time. They pull this shit at this time of year as they know they will get their point across but come on man nobody f**cks with my cd's,unleash the hounds :bigboom:

bastards know the right time to strike for most attention... xmas.

pilots do it, airline mechanics do it, baggage handlers do it, now the mailmen a re doing it.

what next.... santa impersonators on strike at xmas?

a lot of people waiting for a lot of presents i think.

Pretty sure this'll be the last stuff I get before 2010, but never say never!

Via trade...

BIGSTORM Living In Exile

DIXIE DREGS What If...

GHOST POETS same

MOUNTAIN HIGH same

many thanks Mark

From the chazza...

ANNE McCUE Live: Ballad Of An Outlaw Woman - only got it for the Hendrix cover. I'm a sucker for anything Jimi related!

ALAN PARSONS The Time Machine

SCREAMING TREES Sweet Oblivion

STEELY DAN Gaucho

STEELY DAN Two Against Nature - I'm just not a Steely Dan fan, but as these were cheap I thought I'd give them a listen

WISHBONE ASH Trance Visionary - Dble disc version. I have always avoided the Ash's "dance" album but for £1...

And real shopping...

THE ROCKETS Re Entry - cool issue of Eddie Money stuff from 1973 and two superlatrive tracks from 1978

Babylon Bombs - Babylon's Burning

Syndikut - Generation Y Me

Michael Bormann - Capture The Moment

Mad Margritt - Animal

User - Of a Common Name

And some secondhand CD shop bargains:

Precious Metal - s/t

Forty Duece - s/t (for $1)

Lita Ford - Out for blood/Dancin' on the edge (2 on 1 CD - perfect for me as I'd never keep the originals of either due to their worth, even if I quite like the songs. :) )

Small Mercies - Beautiful Hum
