Endeverafter

Recommended Posts

Hey guys! I just wanted to tell you about this new band. Their name is Endeverafter. They toured with Poison & Cinderella last summer. Their debut album is coming out August 21 2007. It is going to be huge! They are going to be BIG! They are one of the bands that is bringing back Hair Metal!

They have a video out for their song: "Baby,Baby,Baby"....at this link

http://www.blender.com/EndeverafterBabyBab.../video/889.aspx

Doesn't that rock?! If you can't rock to that, you just can't rock! I love it!

Find out more info on them, and listen to new songs at their Myspace page:

http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fusea...riendid=6045418

Michael Grant, Tommi Andrews, Kristan Mallory, and Eric Humbert make a bold statement with their debut album (hear a few fresh tracks on their MySpace page) by showing you don’t have to compromise your sound to get noticed. When you are passionate about what you do, the fans are going to know it and the market will follow.

ROCK ON!

In case some folks missed it, Endeverafter's debut CD ("Kiss or Kill") was released this week and lemme tell ya, the hype around this band is justified. These guys rock it oldschool style, a total throwback to the heydays of 80s hair metal. I hear some Poison, some Warrant, some Guns 'N Roses, some Heavens Edge, some...well, some of just about every band you loved in the late 80s/early 90s!! Sizzling guitars, hot licks, power-hooks galore, pounding drums, sing-along choruses, guitar solos, suggestive lyrics, gang vocals, ripping rockers, moving ballads...these guys have got it all. The vast majority of the members here should eat this up like Rosie O'Donnell at free wings night at her local sports bar.

Bottom line, this f'ckin' rawks. :guitar:

There was a story about this band in the local paper yesterday (one of the band members, forget which one, is a Jersey native, though he's relocated to California) ... sounds cool, will have to check'em out

Well, after quietly salivating over this one, I finally have it in the mail and on the way to me. Thoughts to follow asap.

Holy shitballs!

Hands down, my vote for "New talent of the year" is this Michael Grant chap. Man this dude can play the guitar... and he's an awesome song writer to go with it! And he can sing! This album really does have potential to bring 'hair metal' back to the masses.

This is kind of what my idea for creating new music would be like. It is 100% in the stlye of traditional hair metal, but just has that edge that could actually realistically put these guys in the charts. The lyrics and song writing is much better than a lot of what is currently released in the genre these days, and I detect just a hint (especially in 'From the ashes of sin') of modern influences to make it appeal to the masses.

I don't like 'Slave', but I loved every other song. The ballad, 'Next best thing' sky-rocketed up into my top 5 songs of the year and sent chills all over. What a beautiful song. I was actually laughing along with 'All night', with the awesome lyrical direction... and the rest of the songs just kicked ass. I listened to it on the way to work this morning, and I can't wait to leave today just so I can do it all over again on the way home!!!

where'd you order it from EMO-man?

Got it off ebay. :) Sadly, only place I could find it at a good price. It kicks ass, mate.

They sound pretty good. Could use a little more 80s than 70s.

I can definitely see what you're saying there, and some of the guitar almost put me off at the start. But I've had this CD spinning all weekend and I just love it.

'Slave' is a bad track, and I'm not too keen on 'I wanna be your man' either. The rest, though... 'Babyx3' is a cool commercial track. Again, not one of my faves and there's better singles, but a good catchy track.

For me, it starts at track 3 - the hugely infectious grower, 'Gotta get out'. I love this song! 'Poison' and 'Tip of my tongue' are both kick-ass hard rockers - 'Poison' being one of my faves. 'Next best thing' is just hands down the best ballad of the year, and one of my favourite tracks in recent years. 'Road to destruction' is a killer metal track and 'All night' almost sounds like the kind of song The Darkness might record if they had an ounce of talent or song writing skill, or could play or their vocalist could sing. This is another of my favourite tracks on the CD, most amusing and very catchy. 'From the ashes of sin' is the 2nd best song on the album and is just an amazing sort of modern melodic rocker - damn I love this song so much. And the closer 'Long way home' is a discreet, but beautiful closing track.

Overall, this is easily one of the albums of the year if you ask me.

It'd be worthwhile.

The variety of styles on this disc, whilst always sticking to the hard rock base is just awesome. There's almost 70's styled rock - mostly in the style of guitar playing often, 80's commercial hard rock, sleaze, metal, modern melodic rock, "hair metal"... the CD just covers so many styles of rock, but kicks your ass each time with big juicy choruses, and as I said in my first post on the CD... the most talented new musician/song-writer to hit the scene for a long time, in Michael Grant. Arguably the best guitarist to emerge in ages.

Can't say I hear any 70's influences from these guys, but damn are they good. It's hair metal for the modern times. :bananamac:

It's not in the song-writing at all, it's just sometimes that rhythm guitar gives me a 70's vibe - almost sounding like a much, much better version of how Wolfmother sometimes play their verses. I don’t know, it’s hard to describe. I just sometimes sense it. I’m probably wrong again, though. :(

Am I the only one who doesn't really like this release? Granted, I've only listened to it once... I'll give it a few more spins, but so far I just don't get it.

    • Yeah its pretty good, was expecting a few melodic rock numbers though(maybe just based on the Whitesnake link)...and I  ain't a fan of the hardcore screaming he does in a few tracks
    • Yeah its ok but nothing really to shout about as such.
    • Album out November 24th. From Escape Music: Atack’s founder member and lead guitarist Keith Atack has a long pedigree in the rock music scene. He grew up during the sixties and was influenced from an early age by bands like The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Yardbirds and then on to Jimmy Page and Ritchie Blackmore. He has also toured with many pop acts like Bonnie Tyler, Rick Astley and many others. He has a rock / funk / soul style as well as a jazz and blues influence.  He is joined by band members that also have strong roots in the rock scene such as Bob Richards on drums who has rubbed shoulders with members of bands like Iron Maiden, Survivor, Asia and Shy. Bassist Chris Childs is well respected and is the bass player with UK stalwarts “Thunder/Lonerider/Tyketto”, he is an ideal addition to the line-up along with seasoned vocalist Lee Small (Shy/Phenomena/Lionheart and many more). Finishing off the quintet is Nick Foley whose keyboard prowess is ever present throughout the album. The sound of the Hammond for which he is known gives the whole album a feel of Deep Purple and Rainbow with a true classic British Rock sound. “Nine Lives” is an exciting addition to the escape music roster and available in limited edition vinyl and CD formats, something very much to look forward to. CD tracklist: 01 Dead Man’s Boots (5:25)  02 Nine Lives (4:36)  03 The Seven Seas (5:27)  04 Remember or forget (5:11)  05 Like a twister blowing through (4:26)  06 New Addiction (4:22)  07Stone cold (3:26)  08 Poison Water (4:31)  09 This house (4:42)  10 The end of the world (4:30) 11 Lie to me Bonus track for the CD

    • i've seen their name mentioned somewhere before but never heard them. This is a good mix of mellow clean vocal and heavy and i really like 'From The Inside' especially out of these 2. This is definitely more of the sort of stuff I am listening to nowadays compared to the soft and fluffy of yore, so will defo check out more.
