Am I the only one who doesn't really like this release? Granted, I've only listened to it once... I'll give it a few more spins, but so far I just don't get it.

I finally recevied this in the mail yesterday and have had 1 listen and have to say that so far it doesn't do much for me at all.

 

Definitely not a glam album, but agreed... it does have a few hair metal tendencies at times. Unfortunately I find both the vocals and the music quite 'weak'. Not 'weak' as in terrible, but 'weak' as in no power behind them.

 

I don't know who to compare them too.... but something like the modern rock sound of '30 Seconds To Mars' meets the soft cock-rock of 'trixter'.

 

Maybe a few more listens will do it a bit more justice.

I've listened to this thing 5 or 6 times now.... I still don't get what all the hype is about. I hope, for your sake, you like it better with a few more spins. Let us know.

Anyone know what happened to these guys? Wikipedia seems to indicate they're still together, but not a peep from them for 5 years now? What on earth happened to them? Such an exciting debut...
